Hi Guys
I have the car back now. So many things needed to be changed on the car a complete list below. 1) Head was removed and sent away to be chemically cleaned 2) Both turbos needed replacing as the wastegates were excessively worn 3) Plugs were changed as these were also excessivley worn 4) Two or one injectors replaced as these were also worn 5) Oil leak in gear box, parts needing replacing 6) New Cylinder Head cover 7) Software upgrade. As I suspected with all this work I knew that I wouldn't be able to see the car in its full glory as advisded by Battersea, its going to take a few hundred miles before the car adjusts to the new parts. Of what I can see so far the gear changes are much smoother very smooth in fact, there doesn't seem to be any turbo lag, the misfiring from cold has completely stopped. I can feel that the car is starting to get more responsive each day but am a bit hesitant to really put my foot down, i'll wait until i've done a few hundred miles. Just to tell you guys of my experience, as many of you will know this car went into BERRY CHISWICK no less than 6 times and I was assured that the problem was resolved on each visit. I am now certain that they were just resetting the codes, as they said that they had replaced the injectors plugs etc which was not the case. Please don't go there even for simple routine service items like oil change etc. I really don't trust these C_____s. I don't usually swear but these guys are really a shoddy outfit they just kept fobbing me off all the time, I had to chase them continously for updates Now for my experience with Battersea, trust me guys I cant fathom the fact that there can be such a huge difference between two BMW dealerships. Battersea gave me regular updates, they explained in great deatail what was happeing with the car at every stage which gave me total peice of mind that my pride and joy was in good hands, not constantly worrying like I did when Berry Chiswick had the car. Everyone from the front staff, courtesy car staff to the techies were polite friendly and very professional. For me Battersea is a bit of a trek but it is well worth the extra distance as I'm pretty confident that after 5 months of this ball ache and with my car being of the road for many weeks that it might be sorted at last and that I can finally start enjoying my car the why I was suppose to. I will keep you guys updated of how the car runs. I would just like to say a real BIG THANK YOU to all the Team at Battersea they really were wonderful and I can't recommend them highly enough. Please avoid BERRY CHISWICK at all costs a bunch of monkeys that don't deserve to represent the Badge. Cheers Taj Last edited by taj; 12-15-2009 at 04:12 PM.. |

Don't mate trust me Berry Chiswick really are crap. They ran my car down and left it with a range of 3 miles, that should tell you everything about these guys, perpetual piss takers with a blatant disregard for your property.
