I know you have other ones (can't wait to see how those came out) but here is a good one to push towards the coilovers in the spring time.
yours...stock ride height....mine H&R coilovers....makes a huge difference on the xi's.

Nice pics man, thanks for sharing!
Yea you can definitely see the ride height haha! Does MA have laws about covering the front reflectors in front of the tires? Cheap mod and totally changes the side profile of the car. |

I don't think so. I agree the reflectors look terrible. I've just been to lazy to switch them out.

There are laws like if the car came from the factory with side reflectors, it must have them, but some cars don't even come with them. I doubt you'll get hassled. I shaved my bumper markers on my VW. Cops won't notice it unless they're an enthusiast, and even then they would have to be a dick to write you up for it.

Nice pics! Looks like there were a lottt of nice cars there. I wish I could have made it but I was up at the Nascar race in NH and that was much more important to me. haha Plus, I live 90 miles from Plymouth so I don't know whether the long ride would have been really worth it. On a side note....ok seriously what is up with that kid from YuppieRacing and his Thunderbird being at every damn show?! I'm sorry if any of you are friends with him but am I missing something? It's suppose to be a joke right? I mean props to him if hes done work to it or whatever for the "Go Factor" but to me it just looks like an old beat up thunderbird...I dunno. Thanks for the pics. I can do a JB3 install in like 15min if you need a hand. My travel work tool kit has everything needed and is always in my trunk. As for reflectors I will do them in the spring along with new kidney grills.

As for the Thunderbird... That is Tom's, he is one of the younger members, bought the car for a few hundred dollars with a blown engine at the time. He has been rebuilding it since. He's thinking about taking the engine out and putting it in an E30 or E36. It was supercharged from the factory but is far from stock now a days. When he's done with college he'll move on to something else. Very knowledgable. I was up at 4am for the event... I CRASHED at 830... my body still hurts, at least my bald head has a nice tan going Thanks for those pics, pretty good!!! |

Fair enough...I'm sure he is a nice kid and I'd like to meet him at some point. I wasn't trying to be a dick I was just confused because I've seen it at shows in between Lambo's and Ferrari's in the past and wasn't sure what to make of it. haha Good for him though in helping out with the events and such and props. for his efforts in working his way up through the car world. I'm sure in being maybe a bit less fortunate than many of us, will only further assist his motivation and progress in putting himself in a sweet ride like ours soon than later.

MA doesn't have a law against it, but they don't need to: it's a DOT *federal* law requirement that all cars have the amber reflectors on the fronts/sides, so technically it's illegal in all 50 states to cover or remove the reflector. Obviously many states/jurisdictions don't enforce it as vigorously as others, but it does give the police in any state a reason for pulling you over. Just FYI.

And great photos--looks like an awesome day, but I too was up at the NASCAR race in Loudon (and I'm driving 8 laps there this Saturday in the Richard Petty Driving Experience).
