The 19" wheels are prone to breaking and have a bad ride on the e92 - I have 19" wheels but wish I had specified 18".

17" wheels look tiny and don't fill the arches enough. 18" is the best compromise.

Actually I think M Sport does look better on saloons (Jinxy - that looks great) , SE looks better on E92s and I prefer SE for Tourings but it's close.

Are wheel looks really so vital over comfort and ride quality?

If I bought a car purely on looks, it would be an Alfa 8C, an Aston Martin or a 911 or maybe an RS4. People have got too hung up on massive wheels at the expense of ride and cost. I remember Gordon Murray writing about the prevalance of oversized wheels and how it's to "fit" in with fashion and design whims.

Many of you moan about how RFTs are so dire -maybe it's more because you specced giant wheels with rubber band tyres? I do get sick of the oversized wheel gang going on and on and on.

Lovely. Looks to have the old i-Drive software so try and get it updated prior to purchase.

That's very nice indeed. I'd grab it now if the price is sensible. Highish miles but great colour and pretty good spec.

You might have to pay but you might get it goodwill. During warranty you can complain that the CD continues to play after you've shut the car down and a number of other problems that were fixed by a software update.

Outside of warranty, you may have to beg....

Quite a strong price for the mileage. I'd knock at least £1500 if not £2500 off that.

Any warranty left on it (presume there's a bit left)? You can always take it to a dealer and get everything sorted and checked out. They will charge for the i-drive AFAIK.

Shadowline can be selected from options list for SE like mine. I'd suggest if the op does want am SE that if he does not like the chrome actively search a SE with shadowline

If there is warranty left they will update the i-Drive FOC if you complain about one of the issues for which an update PUMA was issued.

Unlikely to have much warranty left if it's a 2006 56 plate.

Looking into the possibility of selling mine, although it will be a bit more than £22.5k!

It's an authority to do warranty work or something like that. I cannot remember what it stands for but I'm sure someone will advise. Put it this way, there are a number of officially recognised i-Drive issues that will be attended to FOC within warranty by upgrading the software.

Ed - I've got a month of manufacturers, 10 months BMW Used Approved warranty left. I'd want at least that I reckon.

Carlos- I like 230s - I thought you had/have them?

Xenon - thanks!! i-drive literally killed my inlaws 535d. It went haywire (at 2 months old), lights couldn't be turned off, all sorts went weird, BMW couldn't sort it so they sent it back and got an X5. Put me off i-drive but I'm sure it's now much better. This was about three years ago.

To be honest I am looking at that spec but wanted a 2007. Something with a bit of warranty and less miles. This one has been there for over a month, so if I find nothing and it is still there, who knows I could know a couple of grand off!

Yeah, I do like mine, especially at night. The gaping gaps catch the light so well and the spokes look like axes and they loook supersize, like 20" or something.

The 162 are gorgeous, for E90 and E91 and not sure they would look good on coupe though. Nicest wheel for the E90 and E91 though i think.

Saw an E91 on them earlier in silver.
