I don't have first hand experience with the R888 but from a lot of local chatter and intarweb information, the R888 seems to work very well for cars that are LIGHTER, like race cars or, Miatas. On cars weighing more than 3,000 lbs it doesn't seem to respond quite as well. There are some very positive feedback from some Miata guys, but most street level BMW guys seems to hate it.
