The tire and wheel coverage is definitely worth it. My coverage cost $300 for each Z4. I had a RFT punctured beyond repair on my TiAg Z4. It was replaced to the tune of $328. My second punctured tire, beyond repair, was replaced as well, and covered under the policy. My initial coverage only cost me $300 and so far I have had to have 2 tires replaced...so I am ahead. The wheel coverage does NOT cover curb rash repair, or finish of the wheel. Only structural damage done to the wheel which would render the car undriveable. So you really have to destroy a wheel before its replaced. I have also been told that the coverage ONLY covers the OEM tires/wheels at time of purchase. So you cannot put aftermarket tires and rims on the car and expect to have the policy cover them! Just my .02 from real world experience with the coverage. --Chad

I opted not to get the insurance... BUT, the finance guy said they cover aftermarket wheels as well.

Don't buy Dealer tire/wheel insurance of any kind waste of $.
Go to...www.theautoclub.com cost you less then $30.00 per year. Each occurance you would get paid for tire/wheel $350.00. This is way better then what everyone is paying Dealers! |
