One mile yesterday, 110 today. Don't ask. The car is amazing. This is my first BMW and none of my previous cars were over 20k so you can imagine the joy.

I read almost all the info about this car, read the forums and pretty much did all the homework. I am still shocked.

Handling and power are what I expected, of course it is hard to really tell while breaking it in and the rain falling in my area. One note, is first gear supposed to feel weird? At times, it seems like I have to jam it up. I have owned many new manuals before so I am a little unsure if it is just me, normal for the car or maybe it just needs to be broke in.

iDrive is awsome and the bluetooth is great. I am using the sony ericsson w810i. I was able to connect without looking at any manuals.

Hope your cars come in soon.

1st Email from CA...
I just saw that your car was " released to the carrier today".
I immediately faxed a request to change the scheduled arrival time from the 23rd to the 20th or 21st if at all possible.

Lets hope it works.
If so, just make sure you are ready. I have prepped all my fellow mechanics to process your car as sonn as it arrives to not lose any time.

No guarantes yet, but our chances have just been improved

Your car will definetely loaded on a truck tonight and they wll have the car here the latest by Saturday.

That is great news but tough to hear. Originally the 20th in the morning was going to be the time I was hoping to pick the car up because of a meeting I have in Michigan. Then when I found out that there was a chance a month ago that my car should be here sometime this week I told them I wouldn't be able to make it. Then when I heard the other day that basically there was no chance it would make it by this weekend I told them I would be able to make it and now have scheduled plans to attend the meeting. I have plans to leave Chicago in the Afternoon on Friday, hence will not be in Lake Forest on Saturday.

I honestly don't know what to say besides I thank you for doing everything you could to get the car here as early as possible and it really, for a lack of better words, sucks that I wont be able to make it on Saturday.

I'm trying to think of a way to make this work. So for now thanks again and I'm going to try and think of a way to make this work out. "

Im so pissed right now I dont know what to do. I fly out of Chicago on Monday at 8am before the dealership opens.

damn ben sorry to hear that. hopefully your CA will be able to work some magic and you'll be able to get it earlier.

as far as mine is concerned, it's been at the dealer for a few days (I checked the OC for the first time in weeks today and it says it's at the dealership)... still waiting to hear back from my CA.

Ok I have decided I am going to buy the car Friday. Then Speed home (about 6 hours) to try and pick my car up at 5pm right before they close on SATURDAY! Then it gets shipped to Dallas Monday Morning. Then the modding begins. (Tints, Wheels Tires, coilovers, debadge, Nav screen tv mod, lux lights, fogs, Bodykit, aluminum pedals, exhaust, chipped) CANT WAIT

Just picked up mine tonight!!! All I can say is wow. I'd post pics but I think there are enough stock AW coupe pics here already. Might have to wait till I do some mods first.
