What motor is it? Can u at least tell us that
85x89 gsr block. 10.5:1 cp pistons, manley turbotuff rods, skunk2 pro1 cams, skunk2 pro-series springs/retainers, alaniz head, stock gsr tranny w/ a quaife and mfactory 4.7 final drive, tilton twin disk clutch, dss 3.9 axles.
i just thought about it, and it's not like anyone on this forum really knows anybody in the honda game or anybody that races for money, so i guess its ok for his info to be out there.

the point of making this car was to race for money, and he's doing just that. every race he's had has been for $3000 or better. and if you guys really want to see what it can do, pm me and i'll give you details on his next race which is tonight against a blue mustang from s&s speed shop.

if anything the bragging rights are more greater
do you not understand that all this power is coming from 4 cly? i dont know about you but that amazes me.
for ex:
if i were at the track and saw a 4 cylinder car vs a 8 cylinder car and they both have a 10 sec pass i would be more amazed and give more props to the 4 cylinder car. but i guess thats my opinion but whenever i bring that up to people they seem to agree with me

Sorry we dont race for money, we are just car lover usually hang out with all the cars and do some friendly runs

we usually do them in staten island as its the middle of long island/brooklyn/queens/bronx/ city and NJ/CT.. so we meet in the middle with minimal tolls for guys on both ends.

Not me.. FIRST, let me say, I respect fast.. but not bragging rights.. a 10 sec 4cyl. cost AT LEAST $15k+ to build, 10 sec V8 cost maybe $5k... soo.. since it just speed your looking for, why are using a 4cyl in the first place.. never made sense to me.. and then there is always the comment "yea but im doing with a 4 cyl, unplug 4 of your spark plugs the race me.."
well, why would I do that? I did this to be as fast as possible.... and hopefully as cheap as possible.. there are 10 sec STREETABLE, DAILY DRIVEABLE V8'S (not that they actually do drive them daily, but they could-Cobra's come to mind easily) whereas a 10 Sec civic is bare, no interior, sheetmetal, everything is out and NOT reasonable to be a daily driver..

In the end, its still a civic..A beater fast mustang, is well a mustang, we know why you bought it.. A civic is, well... you know..

back On Topic Though..

I want to come, but way too far for me.. BUT.. if someone else ig oing and wants a camera man, im down... excellent at shooting (yes, camera's too , same principle's there) and im light, only 170lbs so im not adding that much weight to the car...

you have to respect hondas. real enthusiasts don't care for bragging rights whether it be a musclecar or honda person. my personal car before i bought my bmw was a 93 delsol fully built making 670whp at 29psi. it was a street car, nothing cut, nothing missing and i daily drove it. i drove it to school, to work, to home, and beat on it almost every day. it cost me $10k to build and buy the car itself while a mustang would cost maybe the same price to build and buy the car or even more. i would never ask a mustang to unplug 4 spark plugs because that's just stupid. yeh sometimes you run into the asshole honda owners but sometimes you also run into a real honda enthusiast who knows what he's talking about and doing. my car was consistent and daily driven for a year and a half. only reason i took it apart is because i blew the block up doing a second gear burnout. my oil pump seized/failed and the eagle rods couldnt take it.

figured i'd post a pic to show what my car had and that it was streetable.

and i've since moved on to this.

sorry for taking this off topic. pm me when the runs are going to happen, and i'll come with my cousins street car.

Racing an all out race car built for the track is not a race for a regular street car.

Like I said, I respect FAST. That car sounds like it was a very formidable opponent, and thats what im into.. Its the excuses that i hate, usually by the younger crowd i guess..
But you proved me wrong, well played Sir... Question is though, was $10k for car, parts, install and tuning? all done and ready to go? or did you buy a worked del sol and then change a few things?

On Topic: Alex or Donald... If your going LMK and I will drive to you, and be your camera man.. and if its a good time, maybe i'll drive next time...
