Have you adjusted the dislplay brightness? May help? Glare is sometimes a problem for me.

My brightness is set for about 40-45%. Any lower than that and it starts to look washed out for me. Night mode is SO much better at night than just letting it dim automatically.

I'm new to the iDrive. It doesn't seem to dim enough at night, but there are certainly at night, but there are a lot of usable features.
