Stick with a reputable manufacturer like Velocity Motoring or Miro. You want to ensure the wheels are JWL and VIA certified so they meet strength and quality standards.

Thanks for the input guys.

Wow I wasnt expect any flaming conversation..come on please we are just having a good conversation and helping out each other in the forum.

The reason why I am asking is because I like the style 219m and 220m. But both offset comes in 19 (I think the OEM 219m comes with 18) and I do not want to go for 19 because of the stress on the supsension and my car only has 200HP which will be a slow start for sure. But if thats the case I will go for 196 and I love that 220m the most. Its like a perfect set for E90 IMO.

I recall someone said 220M rep comes with 18 and 19 and they are cast. Is not a big deal for me since I used to have some JDM 18 cast rims (weeds sport) on my previous car which is 22lbs and there is no issue for me all after 4 seasons. I know and I am willing to spend 4k on it but for sure not on OEM. BBS LM is my only choice.

Anyone can give me comment on this BMW 42? I still want to try it but just being chicken out of the rep quality.

some people take shyt way to personal. my advice to the op is, get what you like and what you can afford. not what others want. if you like the reps and can afford notting more than go with a rep dealer like stated on previous post here. if you can afford the real deal then go with those. anyway you put it, a car is a car and it losses value, the more mods you do to it the more value it looses no matter how much your wheels cost. at the end of the day is a material which are several pieces of metal, get what you want and enjoy it.

you should pull the trigger on 19's my old 330ci was fine on 19's. they wont hurt the suspension they will just ride a little bit more rough... as far as acceleration is concerned 19's vs 18's will have minimal to no affect.

I have no problem with Reps I have VMR wheels on one of the cars and they have been more solid then My Breytons , however I cannot recommend the wheels you are showing since I have seen wheels from RWC and they do look lower quality , if I where you I would look at another vendor

go ahead...tell me reps are just as good:

(my wheels after 3 months of use..no, i didnt hit massive potholes and currently have morr vs8s that ive owned for over a year with zippo damage on the same roads)

pics of 1 wheel,3 cracks in total, numerous bends, proper size tires
shop told me the wheel was on the verge of collapse
sold the wheels to the local scrapyard for $45 bucks

reps, real, reps.

I can tell the difference between real BBS LMs and BB5 LMs.
The real ones have flatter faces and are BBS stamped.

I hate reps. The subtle differences drive me crazy, and you just know they're not real. Not to mention they bend easier and are more likely to chip.

If you can afford real bbs LMs then you should get them. If you can't, but still want to achieve the same look, I don't see anything wrong with getting reps. It's all a matter of personal preference. I'm not saying that the quality of the wheel is the same between real LMs or replica ones, but just because it's a rep, that doesnt mean it doesnt go through some sort of quality control process.

Any wheel regardless of whether it is cast or forged will bend/crack eventually depending on how much abuse the wheel goes through. Just because you have replica wheels doesn't mean that they will bend or crack on the first pot hole you run over. If you're driving on streets that have potholes left and right, go another route or get a 4x4

I'm on my second set of Linea Corse wheels and neither has bent or cracked on me thus far. I've driven on the track on the wheels as well and they held fine w/out any issues. I'm sure people with other brand of replica wheels can attest to the quality of their own as well whatever brand they may have.

Some people who choose to buy reps even though they spend a ton of money on the car itself may prefer to save the couple thousand buying the reps and using it towards other mods such as suspension, engine work, etc.. Regardless of whatever reason they have, there's no need to bash replica wheels. If you have real BBS LMs, give yourself a pat on the back because those are sick wheels. But don't knock on those who don't who have LM reps. As I mentioned earlier, it's a matter of preference. As for myself, I'd rather spend $1300 on wheels that I don't have to worry too much about curbing compared to $3500+. For me I'd rather put the extra money into other parts for my e92 or my e30s.

p.s. If you have LM reps but put on a BBS badge on the wheels, then it is ok to knock on them.

If you want to buy reps, then look into the companies that have good reviews from their customers. Sometimes replica wheels are just as nice as the expensive versions less one thing: weight. Many times reps are just as strong, finished just as well and look just as good, but they run a few pounds heavier.

What this post clearly defines is that there are lots of differences between replica wheels.

Some are good and some are pure crap.

The OP asked the wrong question. What he should have asked was "I'm looking at xyz replica wheels. Are they any good?"

Equally important, if you're going to post pictures of bent and cracked wheels, you should identify the wheel manufacturer, the wheel size and the type of roads you drive on. You can use a crappy rep in a 16" on our cars and you might be fine, but the same wheel in a 19" might just bend while mounting the tire.

"everyone can tell the difference between reps and reals"

Another thing to mention is that we are just discussing replica wheels in this thread, the same caveats hold true for any non-OE wheel.
