I just had a quick look at the back of my car and can see that the trims you are referring to are separate to the rear bumper and attach via a couple of bolts. Unfortunately I couldn't see a part number that I can give you. Have you asked a local BMW Dealer if they can source the parts? It may be that the trim components are only supplied in conjunction with the rear bumper?

I see that your location is Reading. Am I correct in assuming this is Reading in the UK? |

Where to get quad exhaust trim pieces?

Here are a few pics I took after washing them the other day (D3 - Left, B3 Bi Turbo - Right): Yes it is Reading in Berkshire, which is about 40 miles west of London.

here's a pic of mine... but chrise92 is right, it's a rubber trim. My shop got the piece from some fabricators next door.

Aiders - thanks for the pics - gorgeous cars!
And BTW folks, I emailed Alpina and got an auto response from them saying that they're out until Jan. 11. I'll let you know if I hear back from them around that date. |

Yinger - thanks for the photo. That looks very good and clean, but I'd still like to get my hands on the Alpina pieces as I like that painted, finished look.

OK - I exchanged a couple of emails with ALPINA and they won't sell me the parts, but I tried. Looks like the next best step would be to talk one of our resident manufacturers into making these parts.
Here's the email thread - start reading from the bottom up if you're interested... Hi Jay, Yes the one and only solution is if you buy a complete alpina car you have that parts :-) Joking......... If the parts a damaged you can buy the new one with the original ALPINA-Chassis number. But we can make no exception. My chief looks over the shoulders on every thing.... And he will see that parts only on original ALPINA cars!! :-) With best regards, Alex ======================= So I have to buy a whole ALPINA car just to get these 2 little trim pieces? :-) I’m just joking with you… Is there any way at all you could make an exception? For example, if I had an ALPINA car that was damaged and I needed these 2 parts replaced, I’m assuming you would be able to sell them in that case, correct? Can we just pretend this happened - just in this one instance? Please? Thanks again, Alex! …Jay ======================= Hi Jay, Thanks for your Mail. Yes i understand you :-) But sorry that part is only available for original ALPINA-Cars. I can not deliver that parts. Sorry. Take care, alex ======================= Hello Alexander, Thank you for the prompt reply, and yes, I do understand that ALPINA is not a tuner. I was just hoping that I could purchase the two small trim pieces that surround the quad tail pipes and I was not looking to purchase any performance parts. Would it be possible just to purchase these 2 parts? Thanks again, …Jay ======================= Many thanks for your mail. Please be informed that ALPINA is not a tuner. We are a manufacturer of exclusive automobiles and also offer retrofit spare parts for BMWs. But we do not offer any performance parts like engines, exhaust system, etc and also the exhaust trim. It is not possible to increase the power here at ALPINA. Hope you can understand this. Maybe a tuner, like Schnitzer, Hamann, Hartge or Breyton can help you. Have a nice day! Alexander Richter ======================= Hi, Would it be possible for me to purchase a pair of the quad exhaust trim pieces that attach to the rear bumper of an e92? If so, can you please tell me how much they cost (in USD) shipped to the U.S. area code 01960? Can you also help me to understand how to place the order? If you're not clear on the part I'm referring to, I have a picture that I can send to you. Thank you, ...Jay |
