Was the E93 wiring through the trunk more complicated than E90/92?

Hello,

You mentioned the video module will take input from your iPod/iPhone Plug&Play direct fit dock that fits into OEM front ashtray location.

Please elaborate... as far as i know the iphone will only output video externally through a composite A/V cable or a component A/V cable sold by Apple. Are you saying with your iphone plug&play unit, it won't be necesasry to purchase this cable from Apple anymore and the iphone will automatically send video signals to the iDrive monitor??

Thanks.

One more question...

In your DIY guide, it isn't mentioned very clearly where we can place these A/V inputs:

Are they all going to be hidden behind the trim? Or is there another DIY guide to show how to put one of the A/V connections in the glove box, or in the center armrest?

I am thinking how I can use these A/V inputs under real life circumstances. Or are they meant for the rear view camera / night view thermal camera only?

In order to connect the iPhone Dock to the module you would have to get a AV Composite cable.

AV/In harness needs to be placed behind the dashboard (slide #37 in DIY guide).

You can use all 3 AV/In's or just one ... It is up to you how many devises you want to connect to the module.

Thank you!

Then can I run the AV composite cable easily from the iphone dock to behind the dashboard where the A/V inputs are? Do you have a DIY guide for this?

Yes, you can run cables behind the dashboard ... no pics because you just run them behind and there is not much that can be documented

only 2009+ car can use existing BMW DVD rom to play DVDs. In your case you would have to get an external DVD player like this one

I can make a package price for you, just pm me exactly what you would like to get and I will take care of you !

Holy crap!

There are no words to describe.. I want the thermal and that multimedia kit!
I only have a one question: What is that external DVD player above? I have been trying to find something like that without success...

I am next going to NY in beginning of March but maybe I will order it before that, will you ship to Europe as well?

Any car audio shop will be able to install it ... It is pretty straight forward job ...

You will have all the options that 2009+ cars have except for the transparent image of PDC while in reverse ( if you have PDC )

Thanks.
