OK .. still trying to get to the bottom of this and still have the problem.
Could someone with the HD professional satnav system please do a test for me. I need to know if your car picks up traffic information while tuned to Radio 4 FM. Doughboy - I think you might not have the problem because you are using DAB? If the FM tuner is on Radio 4 - do you get the traffic info?? |

I'll try it on the way home tonight for you.
I'll also try classic FM too and see if its any different... Sorry about the sunvisors, mine still has lovely velour ones - If I was you I'd buy a set from a pre-action-man version and fit them yourself - little details like that make all the difference http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...32&hg=51&fg=40 Notice the different 'sun visor cloth' or just 'sun visor' descriptions... |

Hi, Just checked - I can confirm I get traffic info whilst tuned to radio 4. I've got the e92 Sept 08 build with the latest HD I-Drive system. HTH. Graham. |

Mine works too with whichever station i select.... 2008-2 sat nav version. Perhaps it needs some kind of "reset to factory settings" :-)
Or im not sure if this will make any difference but you could update the system (Somewhere in BMW Services option i think). Im pretty sure there must have been an update as before when driving i couldnt view any RSS feeds when the car was travelling over 10mph - after the update i could, just a thought. |

NFS - I did a bit of experimenting with TMC last night on the way home.
I've said before that reception of TMC can be a bit iffy at times, again last night, stuck in solid rush hour traffic on the M60, I checked for traffic info and bingo 'none at this time' or whatever, which I found hard to believe. I was on R2 DAB. I quickly selected Classic FM, and immediately all the TMC data started flooding in. Then returning to R2 DAB and/or USB the TMC continued to come in and remain current. When doing this I discovered the 'saved stations' menu, all full of crap MW stations etc. So in my OCD way I deleted them all one by one until there were none left. For some reason I then tuned to classic FM and saved it. from the 'saved stations' list when Classic FM is highlighted, press the 'options' button and check that 'RDS' is selected. This morning I noticed (on R4 DAB) that I had a full complement of TMC data by the end of the street which I've never had before. Also at lunchtime it was the same. Fluke or not I don't know, but might be worth a try. |
