Hey Quisp, long time no talk Hopefully your car feels better than what you and I went through in 2008.
I had a feeling this would eventually surface. Anyone that did not go through the trials and tribulations of v29.2 and BMW's slow and steady fix to resolve the issue will not understand so don't sweat it. |

BMW should take note, it is wrong for them to detune the car to solve a mechanical issue. If the wastegate is rattling they should repair the rattling. If the fuel pump is failing repair or redesign a better pump.
Detuning the product they sold should not be an option... |

I think this is a great thing and I hope all states follow. BMW has treated us horribly in return for giving them 50k of our money. There is absolutely no excuse for not fixing the HPFP or chronic wastegate issues. Extending the warranty does not compensate me for the many weeks I will be without the car and BMW is not making my payments while they fix their defective engineering.

Not a fan of the U.S. legal system, or our "I'll sue you!!!" culture.
But BMW has behaved so irresponsibly and unethically, for so long, that it seems nothing short of a class action suit will force them to face up to these issues. Just my $0.02...

For anyone in states other than California, as the article states, this is a national class action, you dont need to be a CA resident. If you have any questions or want to let them know what happened to you and your car, just call or email them.

People with HPFP & wastegate problems need to call this attorney -- they've already started 2 lawsuits in Arkansas and mine in California, but they need more steam to build up a class action -- it's gonna take a consumer uproar to get this German snob to admit faulty design.... it happened with Toyota, why has it not happened here yet?
