Sorry chap....I didnt as halfords didnt have the plugs......

I will have a wee goosey gander tomorrow and update the thread

Yuk.

Looks like a right stripping match chap.

I would say:

1. Engine cover (2 allen bolts)
2. Cabin Filter
3. Cabin filter tray (looks like a cock of a job)
4. Possibly back engine cover too
5. EGR / inlet piping (clean it while its off, carb cleaner will do the trick)
6. Inlet Manifold (probably clean it out too)
7. Wiring loom for glow plugs (usually just the 4 8/10mm nuts on the plugs)
8. Glow plugs
9. And then the reverse of the above (apart from the cleaning, unless you want to dirty stuff )

Definately a few hours work and I would factor in at least 2 grazed knuckles.

Also make sure you have the tools for the job, a few nuts/bolts look like they will need long reach sockets/extensions etc so dont start out with just a screwdriver and a simple socket set.

I hope to be doing mine next week sometime.

Thanks for the update!

Hrmmm... seems the 2 hours labour I was quoted would be accurate then!

I'll have to decide which option to take! But for a saving of over £100 I might opt doing it myself!

I wonder if cleaning the EGR valve might help with my lack of power issue too?
