Fingers crossed
Post up after install. Pics would be awesome. I need to order these if they are the right ones.

Certainly will post pics. The car is due with me on the 18th and hopefully the tips should arrive before then, and can go straight on the car. I'll keep you updated.

Yes, well sort of! I've now got the tips (they just slip on and are held in place with a sort of spring/clip - no screw underneath). I havn't got the car but the dealer assures me they fit on a 325i (UK). I can take pics of them later and post here... but if you wanna see them on the car you'll need to wait another 12 days!! They are a matt chrome finish (not shiney) - just like the 330 and 335 models.

Post the pics when you get a chance. I just ordered them too.

Official word from the parts dept. was 18-30-7-553-641
and 18-30-7-553-642 were correct numbers for the 328 coupe accessory tips.
We'll see.

642 is the smaller piece which is the left pipe trim (standing at the back of the car looking at it). There are 4 spring clips inside each bit of trim and a sort of claw. I guess once they are on it might be difficult to get back off!

I think the matt finish will look good. If not, neverdull and elbow grease does wonders!

My dealer did this for me as well. Either the 325 or the 330 will fit, but the 330 tips are bigger and look better IMO. Not sure if that is the correct part number, but if those are 330 chrome tips, you have a winner.

My CA said mine were from a 335i and are a perfect fit. Sorry the photo isn't that great.

The 335i has 80mm chrome tips whereas on the 330i they are 72mm.

So, are these part numbers the official tips for the 328xi?

I think the answer has to be 'sort of'. They are not an official accessory for the 325i but they are the proper part from the 330i which would appear to have the same style exhaust as the 325i.

I collect the car on Monday so will post pics and update then.

I agree--when I picked my car up in Oct. these were the only ones that were able to fit--not sure if a new and exclusive part to the E92 has come out, but these work fine for me.

My local dealer looked up the "accessory" tips that are to be released soon, and those were the part numbers that came up. So it looks like these will be the correct part that will be in the catalog soon.

I think you can see my tips on the pics in my garage--I think they look very nice. Much better than without anything back there.

I'm taking the tips into the dealer tomorrow to fit them to the car and sign a few bits of paper. I'll post confirmation tomorrow and pics to Monday when I actually collect the car

You don't have a picture of the rear of your car.
