I think the power folding mirrors have only been part of the ZPP package on the M3, not the 335/328? The 2009 and 2010 ordering guides don't show it listed for the 335, but I think those cars still had it? That would be a bummer if they killed that feature especially since they just made the mirrors larger!

I was saying that the 328/335 do not show the power folding mirrors in the ordering guides even though they seem to be included as standard. The M3, however, lists the power folding mirrors as part of the premium package.
It seems like that would be a feature ripe for cost cutting, though. I notice all the photos of the 2011 335is do not show the switch for the folding mirrors, but I think that may be because they are euro spec cars? |

Confused about this pdf file w/ regard to runflats
I see the following: w/ performance tires w/ mixed performance tires w/ performance run flat tires The 335i sedan and the 335d show w/ performance and mixed performance tires only I only see the 328 model showing w/ performance run flat tires Am I looking at this correct?? Only runflats come w/ 328 model? Or is this pdf a typo? |

$55K for a 3-series???? ![]() Too expensive for what you get IMO. Doubt I will be back for another 3er. Too many other competent vehicles with more features, lower pricing and better service to customers. The Ultimate Driving Machine also generates the Ultimate Car Payment. Good if you work in Munich, I guess.

I just figured it out, and from 9/1/07 to now - almost 2.5 years, a loaded 3-series has increased in price by 3.5%. That's only 1.5% per year - lower than the average inflation rate, so I'm ok with it. I think the issue is that the 3-series is going more upline with more features and options like m-sport, the IS model, etc/ This makes room for the 1-series lines, new Z2, etc. The 3 is no longer the cheapest model like it historically has been. We are all going to have to adjust our attitudes towards the car in the future because of this. Last edited by The J-Man; 02-09-2010 at 08:53 PM.. |

...the hidden cost is depreciation as well... my 2007 E92 (~$49K w/options) with 89K miles in mint shape is worth less than $19K now... ~Frost

I guess that is why you can negotiate so easily anymore and why they offer at times 0.9% for 60 months on M3s, 3's, etc.

In addition, the 2011 comes with a heated steering wheel, alarm and front pdc. If you back those items out at a price of $800 to have a true apples to apples comparison, then there is a price difference from 2007-2011 of $3425 = 6.7% = approx 1.67% price increase per model year (well under the average inflation rate at a time when the dollar has been getting weaker against the euro). I don't see why people seem to think these cars have gone up so dramatically in price. They simply have not. |

I couldn't find invoice pricing on this forum for the 2011 3-series. Sorry if it already exists on here and I'm too new to know where to look, my apologies.
But, I did notice that Edmunds has MSRP/Invoice pricing finally posted for the 2011. http://www.edmunds.com/bmw/3series/2...~~nf12||424d57 |

Any idea how to figure out the invoice pricing for ED? Apparently people can't post those numbers any more.

Any recs for a PM to a board sponsor for a EuroDel (North Texas/South OK area)? We're looking for someone who won't play games and WILL SHOW US THE "confidential" ED INVOICE PRICE SHEET. We're looking at paying a CA about $2,000/hour for a very quick ED sale: 15 minutes for data entry on our order, including the time to photocopy our passports. That's worth about $500 over ED Invoice, no? That'll work out to $2,000/hour. Not bad work if you can get it . . . . (And we're VERY low-touch customers, of course, having done this twice before.) Thanks! |
