Google maps 'send'

Yeah, this is all I've ever used, didn't know about the google thing until this thread! Keen to try it though becuase the address entry in the car is no where near as good as on TomTom. Main issue is that I like to look at a map of the destination after I've entered it to make sure I'm going to the right place!

Question. How do I manually stick a pin on the map and send that? I searched from an address and it was a couple of doors out - I couldn't then drag the pin. Not a big issue but I'd like it to be precise!

You can only go from the pin, and that is fixed from the address you have typed.

I just type in the street name and be done with it, I can count door numbers for the last few yards!!

You can do this, but it's a bit of a fiddle.

1. Search for an address or postcode.

2. Right click on the red pin and select 'directions to here'.

3. Drag the green pin where ever you like and release.

4. Copy the numbers that appear in the direction bars on the left

5. Paste them into the searchbar and hit 'search maps'

6. Send to car.

Hadn't noticed. But must admit that this is the feature of connected drive that I use most and would be more than a little disappointed to see it gone for good.
