I never understood the love for Porsche.

I drove a 996 turbo once and its was scary fast.

But, it just didn't gave me the feeling of a supercar. For $180K I'd rather get a R8 or used Lambo, Ferrari, NSX, anything that is exotic looking and Mid Engined.

Maybe, I am just biased towards low slung, mid engine shapes because the favorite Porsche to me is the Carrera GT and its not very much a Porsche (RR) in the same way as a 911 (RR Layout) Sorry if I offended anyone.

I do agree some what. This is why I would enjoy the Porsche along with a Sunbeam Tiger.

I drool over older cars more so than the new ones. Not even close.

I like it. Way too expensive though. It will drop so far in price in a couple years. Good pickup used.

And yeah all porsches do look the same lol.

Look at all these grandpas whining about manual transmissions.

No problem. You would probably look silly in that Tiger anyway.

Have a nice day.
the exact same thing can be say about you as I don't see any knowledge or value from your posts other than porsche is good. if anyone read any of your posts, it is clearly you are a porsche fan and anything negative about this porsche turbo s is not ok with you.

don't forget, this is an m3 forum. just like you come on here praising porsche, everyone else have the right to criticize and praise m3. if you have a problem with that, then it is just your problem, not mine.

what exactly did I say to show no sense of class? Like "this porsche is not worth the money or not look special enough for the money"? what you said was just silly.

It is clearly you are utterly mad as soon as I void my opinion about this car and you started the attacking mode. this is exactly what no sense of class is all about.

it's funny, because after I posted, you went back and changed your original post to the one below. honestly no need to change it.

Simmer down now Donna Summer. I like M3's, I owned a 98'.

Regarding the value of my posts. Who is to say? I try and help people and not just criticize that which I do not like.

I edited because I did not want to get into a pissing match. Yes I like Porsche, but I have never owned one while I have owned 4 BMW's.

BTW. This is the General Auto Section. Not an M3 section.

Have a great day!

i would get a turbo instead and use the 27k difference for options... you wont be able to tell the difference in street driving between the turbo and the turbo s

Hard to criticize the Porsche turbo imho but this is a forum, you can even be carzy enough to say a Mercedes produces better cars then BMW if you wanted, people would laugh at you but you can say it.

The Porsche Turbos are not cheap cars, my father has well optioned '09 Cab (pccb, deviated stitching, etc) and the MSRP was in the 160s.

The 2010s are supposedly even more, and I'm sure the Turbo S is even more than that. I bet a well optioned Cabriolet can approach 200k in the Turbo S form.

I mean for what you get its a great machine, but its about progression.
A 458 italia will be will into the 200s, the DBS is 250ish, the convertible is 300.

Expensive? Yes, but priced appropriately.
