Well, according to the web cam she is still at the port????? There she is at 7:00 am pacific time s/b 4pm German time....

yea stupid eukor... i went on the dock cam too haha... from the tracking image i posted (it gets updated according to what you see when you go on their website) on the first page seems like the ship is still there but that site has at least an hour lag time... so who knows...

I'm not sure if the car goes through the VDC. I don't think it does because I had to comprehensive insurance for the trip over here. I actually bought the car in germany from a german dealer, Pentagon Auto Sales, which is the Military Sales dealer. Obviously they have dealt with shipping cars over here a lot so they know the ropes. I had the option of having it delivered to a dealer or picking it up myself, so I chose to pick it up. I actually imported the car, but the dealer took care of all the paperwork, so I didn't have to do much other than sign some papers. I have to take care of thte registration myself, which involves some customs forms and all that. Ask you dealer if you can pick it up. You did ED, right? I don't think it should be too much of a problem, but who knows.

I am starting to have some serious doubts about the ship making it in by the 22nd. Is it possible to go that far in 12 days? We'll see.

I am also on the Kassel. I just got the info from Harms today and they say it is still scheduled to make port on 12-3-06. I don't know who told you 11-22 but there is no way that is gonna happen.

I don't know who I talked with, but they obviously were wrong. I didn't think it would make it there by then. I hope this ins't a predictor of bad service when I go to pick it up.

It appears that it is very difficult to track boats coming into west cost.

Got a call from my CA finally and he told me my car was on the Kassel, which I already knew from calling Harms myself. Only new info from him was he said it is scheduled to dock in Oxnard on 12-4 where I was previously told 12-3 so it looks like it may be a day later than it was supposed to or he was BSing to give himself an extra day before I start calling to say when is my car gonna get to his dealership
