Wheel Cleaner Recommendations

Evening

Can anyone recommend a good Spray on Hose off product to clean the Alloys! The Double Spoke wheels on my 335 are a pain in the ass to clean especially trying to get into those little groves.

I have tried the following products:
  1. So Easy - Wheel Cleaner
  2. BMW Wheel Cleaner
  3. Kitten Wheel Cleaner
So Easy seems to work best but still doesn't get all the grease off the wheels.

Would love some suggestions?

Thanks Guys

No cleaner required, just get a high pressure pump & hose, plug in & go, will probably work out cheaper in the long run & has several other applications.

But last time i tried high pressure hose, it could get all of the brake dust off and i still have to scrub the wheel over again.

P21 wheel gel and get a proper wheel brush to get into the spokes. The right tools makes everything easier and faster.

Wasn't high enough pressure then, the one i had (before it died after 6 years) would get all the dust off & leave the rim smooth & clean to touch.

Yeah, I use the stuff and love it... but then I'm a massive Final Inspection fan. I call Damian (the guy who owns FI) the willy wonka of car detailing products. He sells products that work like magic.

I believe he has a short video on his website that shows how to use PWC (power wheel cleaner) on your wheels.

I just bought some of the p21s wheel cleaner gel from carcareproducts. They are awesome there and i hear p21s make some awesome products so i bought a few things from them. Last time i cleaned my wheels it took me over half an hour and they weren't even that dirty so hopefully this helps

I should get it on Friday, i'll let you know how it all goes

I bought mine from Norwood Parade Auto Spares in Adelaide, but I've also seen it at Autobarn. HSV dealers also sell it as part of a kit (this plus tyre black and rim polish/wax) for about $45.

As i mentioned the other day i bought some p21s performance wheel cleaner on Wednesday. I was praying it would arrive today as my car was in desperate need of a wash but i knew it was a bit ambitious.

There was no parcel when i got home from work so i started washing my car. I washed the whole thing including spending 30 mins on wheels alone and was spraying on tyre shine which is the last thing i do, when i see a fastway van pull into my street.....

My mothers car is a Saab and it spits out more brake dust than my car. It hasn't had a wash for over 3 weeks so i figured that was a decent benchmark. I sprayed a light coat on and left it for the best part of 2 minutes (can be left on for up to 2 hours) whilst i plugged in the Karcher. To my amazement about 95% of the brake dust washed off and you could see the bits i missed when i sprayed. It took about another 30 seconds on each wheel with a dirty wash mit (i forgot that i got a wheel brush in my package from CCP) and they were spotless.

Its $40 for 500ml so its not cheap but my wheels usually take 30 mins and a lot of elbow grease to clean. It should cut that down to 10 mins and I'd say you would get at least 20 washes from that. Highly recommended as are Carcareproducts. They have competitive pricing, independent reviews, really fast shipping and Greg is awesome if your ever in need of some advice.
