E93 Hifi but no rear tweeters?
2011 (production date: 04/05 2010) E93 Convertible. My VIN says I have the S676 HiFi Speaker system but the car has the front tweeters only. No rear tweeters. That's very confusing. Can anybody help?

They deleted the Rear tweeters in all system's starting in 2010
(Both Hi Fi and Logic 7) otherwise as far as wiring goes they are the same. The Hi Fi amps are silver and of slightly different shape than the 09's and earlier suggesting a different manufacturer. But they should be functionally the same. What are you trying to do? |

Bimmertech Premium(PP86) : 8 x 55 watts @ 4 ohms 8 x 70 watts @ 2 ohms No subwoofer output Bavsound Revenant(UP7): 5 x 65 watts @ 4 ohms 2 x 160 watts @ 2 ohms subwoofer output So from a PNP stand point UP7 seems like a better choice to upgrade subwoofers under the seats. I am not sure if PP86 can distribute/bridge 2 channels to deliver 140 watts @ 2 ohms to subs. Does this even make sense? I don't know. More help?? Last edited by apirumann; 07-24-2020 at 05:15 PM.. |

the cabrio is the best car to put additional sub in skibag in rear seat and tune frequencies so that only part of the bass pushed to underseats

e91 2007 Base Professional HU adding amps options
Hi, does anyone know if the base pro hifi ssytem rolls off bass at higher volumes?
I'm looking to add amps for a sub and the front speakers with a line level converter, either the Audio Control LC2i pro or Kicker KA47KEYLOC. If the base rolls off then the LC2i looks the better option, if it doesn't then the Kicker looks better to cancel the HU eq settings. Also i read at the start of this thread " The signal is heavily equalized to the front speakers, and has a subsonic filter around 40 hertz" I'm looking to tap into the front channels which drives the under seat subs and door speakers, so can anyone confirm if the 40hz subsonic filter(HPF) is from the head unit or an inline passive filter. If this is the signal from the headunit then i guess recoding the headunit to HiFi low level outputs is the only option. Any help is greatly appreciated |

this has been covered many times. coding to hi fi will make the signal a close to flat pre out with a differential output . Essentially low level speaker outs. This is a better choice for a quality setup and if you have and amp/dsp the remaining curve and be tweaked with that. It is most important to separate the parallel connection between the front door and floor speakers when adding amps . I don't know why anybody would use and audio control product at this point in time. Last edited by ctuna; 02-24-2023 at 10:36 AM.. |

Conversely, the cabrio is the worst car for putting in decent front door speakers as there is very little depth! I am investigating front mounted speakers using MDF adapter rings, but am at a very early / confused stage...
