I think you need to plot Can DME ignition advance to look for suspect timing drops.
Ignition correction only tells you how much timing the Procede is pulling out from the advance curve. |

Just changed the pic to reflect the Can DME ignition. What I've notice is that when I went back to Stage 1, it held the power much longer before shifting to 4th. Why?

Shiv's is......you have to distinguish between actual ignition versus DME ignition. They are two separate things. I believe you get Actual advance by subtracting the ignition correction from the DME ignition advance. But still......even after correcting, his timing advance is really up there (which is a good thing). I am jealous! |

So what does all this mean. I'm I good for stage 2 or do I have to stick with Stage 1?

But neither plot shows any timing being pulled and both have a nice upward slope as rpm's increase. Looks like stage 2 is working for you - but might be useful to plot a 3rd to 4th gear pull to see what happens going into 4th gear. Sometimes a higher stage is good for a short duration pull, but begins to get wonky in higher gears as the pull is longer in duration and more heat builds. |

Thanks for the help.
The only thing I like about Stage 1 was that it held the power much longer near redline, as Stage 2 felt stronger all throughout the band except the top and up-shifted to the next gear sooner. Why would that be?

Anybody else finding that Stage 1 holds power longer than Stage2 before shifting?

Map 1 in all stages tapers boost sooner than the second Map. I think Shiv named the map that holds boost longer towards redline the "+" version. Maybe you loaded the stage 1 + map and then the stage 2 taper map. Might explain it. |

Nope. Just tested them again. I'm using Map 1 on both stages. I get the 1 blink confirmation on each stage. I'll email shiv to see why this is happening; I'll let you know the results. I wanted to know if other people here where experiencing the same thing.
