Got the JB+ installed.

It took <3min.

I've attached 2 shots that should help others.

The first has the upclose and personal shot of the TMAP sensor (on the right) connecting to the JB+. Pretty small compared to the JB+ module.

The second is a snapshot of where the TMAP actually is. I'm pointing to it with my finger to give people the idea of where it is. It's below the accordian looking tubing.

The USB cable really worked like a charm. Slide it all the way through. (That's what took me long) Barely needs a lift on the tab with the USB. It fits almost perfectly with the snap. The other connector to the TMAP easily comes out.

My arm barely fit through the gap. Need to be careful of the metal across from the TMAP. I got several surface cuts from it on my arm just trying to move through the gap.

Hmmm anything else?

So far no codes at 50%. But I've only ran it for a few miles. I'll let y'all know if by a week there are any codes. But my butt-o-meter says that it has a little more pick-up already!

Hope this helps. Good luck to you guys!

^+1 that is a GREAT picture... probably the most helpful one I've seen so far. Keep us updated! Are you running the JB+ on an otherwise stock setup?

Guys,
So far I'm loving the JB+! I noticed that when getting out on 1st that there's no longer that slight jerky feel and instead a more refined response. That alone may have sold me on the device! But now acceleration is just very responsive versus before. I have to hand it to Burger: Great simple product. Also, Mike has been great to work with. Again I'll let you guys know as the weeks progress to see if any issues arise.

Finally got mine on, of course I broke the clip . I was pretty excited to get it on and go for a spin. I didn't notice much power difference. I owe some of that to just getting the car. I only drive a couple of miles a day and its in town so I don't get to open it up very much.
I do appreciate all the help I have gotten on here .

Yeah...I've been using a JB+ for a few months and just broke the clip a few days ago...sigh.

Does anyone know how tough is it to change the TMAP sensor?

mine broke also..... last time when i went in for CEL and got all injectors replaced, they didn't question me a single word on the broken clip, lucky me. but i think eventually i'll pick up a new sensor from tischer and get it replace.
i heard all you need is to take the air filter box out and it should be pretty straight forward to replace it.

Does anybody have pictures or tips on the TMAP sensor location on a 535i? My JB+ arrives tomorrow and I'm looking forward to see what a difference it makes.

Nope, would that have an effect on throwing codes? My understanding is that the bypass just helps some low end spool up, but the car spools fast and has no lag so I didnt bother.

Higher octane fuel will help...

Per guide remove the airbox and you'll see it sitting there.

Is there a more technical explanation of exactly what the JB+ and solenoid bypass do? How do they work?
