Ant, can these calipers be fitted to a 335i without changing the discs and back plates?

Unfortunately not without modifications, the discs would fowl the calliper if you tried to fit them straight on.

You have however got me thinking... they might be able to be made to fit.

I would need a little help from you though?

If the offset is the same, from the hub where the wheel bolts to, to the brake disc face is the same, then the calliper spacing to allow a larger disc that would need to be altered. This is very easy to achieve as all you need to do is put a small spacer between the calliper and its mounting bracket to achieve the correct spacing and fitment.

If you would like me to do the work on it for you, I would need from you (or anyone else with a 335i/d:

1. The measurement in mm from the wheel hub face to the brake disc face (this will give the offset).

2. The width of the disc face that the pad clamps to (the width of the braked area on just one side).

The BMW Performance discs are 338x26mm and the 335i/d discs are 348x30mm, so in essence, the calliper would need spacing just 5mm extra, but the 335i/d discs are 4mm thicker... this might not be a problem as its only 2mm per side, but the first thing to know is the disc offset if anyone can help?

No he hasn't - he stated somewhere in this thread that he hasn't. Wishful thinking though!
