Pretty sure it gets the LCi treatment also and yep, stop start tech is now featured!!!

Really can't see how it can work with a DCT box, as it is usually the depression of the clutch that kicks the engine in. I am guessing the engine won't stop unless the car is put into neutral? It will then automatically engage 'Park' - all this must then be 'undone' before the car can drive again. Doubt it is as seamless as the smaller engined manual 3'ers and pleased I don't have it!!!!

+1 - those daft eurocrats already ruined the E90/1 LCI, now they've done it to the coupe too.

Expensive, but would the pre-LCI mirror assembly still fit on the LCI door stub?

In manual cars you have to be in neutral, so I gues it will be the same in the DCT? It would be up to the driver to put it in park though if they wished?

Or maybe stop start is not available in the DCT cars? Like its not available in regular auto's?

Have they intoduced stop/start on the 6cylinders too? That will be new also.

I also have a GTi with a DSG box, much prefer the paddles on the BMW.

The new headlights look great, looking forward to seeing one in the flesh. I wonder if the rusty hub have been sorted for the 313s.

It's all about personal 'intuition', what seems daft to one person is perfect for another.

Like Porsche PDK was slated due to its left = up, right = down, all the journo's said it was backwards (correct I think), now it's been changed to the 'correct' way.

Same with VAG DSG, having the manual stick as forward = up, backwards = down is backwards IMO. Causes no end of mis-shifts and one of the reasons I sold my ghastly A3 2.0T DSG.

BMW have it right with their stick shift at least, forward = down etc.

True. It just makes sense to me, you pull a manual stick back to go up a gear, so you flick a paddle back to do the same, Porsche PDK being opposite is only a problem for the driver, if you jump in and out of different cars, but one for up and the other for down, just seams plain wrong to me.

As you say, each to their own.

I'm sure they're mostly the same, but in mine there is a paddle on each side of the wheel, back one shifts the gear up, front (smaller) one shifts down a gear.

To me, the new headlights look a bit 'soft' like the 7 series and the new 5 series. Like the M Sport though, very nice.

SE bumper jewelry (dare say people like my father in law will like it)
Light eyebrows (not as ghey as the Audi fairy lights but still ghey)
Giant wing mirrors
M Sport alloys (5 spokes are old school, too much open space for my liking)
LED tail lights (I always end up sat behind people with LED rear light when stuck in traffic and they are unnecessarily bright)

Not sure about the wheels and the mirrors are grim.

Digging the new front and rear light clusters though...as others have said, would be interested to know if they would fit into a pre-LCI car.

They are slightly cleaner 196 kgs, but power outputs are the same, or at least the 335i is.

Aneeka... are these bulbs going to be available for the non LCI's?

I've been looking at the after market hid upgrade for the halo but would rather keep it all OEM?

White halo's are gash IMO.

The subtle burning glow of incandescent bulbs in the current versions are much nicer and more 'suitable' IMO.

Horrid white LCDs are for spanked up chav mobiles......

Judging by the big emmissions drop and new EU5 compliance, the 335i coupe must be the new N55 engine instead of the past N54.

Now it has valvetronic and is throttleless for better emissions etc. (also different ECUs and all sorts)

That'll screw all the tuners for a while!!!
