Nothing can stop us fellas.......the ship will be right on time. Our only possible hurdle will be time spent at the VPC....that is the question. Only 24 hours would be sweet!!

john,

i had thought the same about keeping the accord for a dialy driver. that changed when i drove it around in munich. i was worried about the miles. however with the money ill svae in insurnace i can extend the covergae to 100k. dont get me wrong i love the accord, if i didnt have the additional money i would buy another on in a heart beat. i was very close to getting a tl, until i came here lol.

Hey James,

I haven't reached that point on the optional packages...I've heard one should get the tire/rim protection based on experience with the run flats, but how much would it cost to take the warranty to 100k? Is it worth it? Maybe for those of us who plan on keeping the car?

With the Nissan, I said no to every optional package. The car has served me for 135k and had zero major repairs, except the evap ($400). Other than a 60k service, NOTHING. I was driving it 85 mph this am and it was smooth as silk. My cousin told me don't expect the BMW to be this way when it's 9 yrs. old....(he has a E36 M3)....

I will baby the 335 though, that's for sure, when it's new....

john,

the wheel tire package i can get for $475 for 4 years. the 100k plan is around $2k. it can be added anytime before 50k miles of 4 years. i havd had a lot of luck with the honda also. i got the 100k mile warranty it turned out to be a waste. i see u got the corla red i was about to get that.

Seems like one things for sure, whether we like it or not, we're getting new BMWs! Just think, we're all going to do whatever we have planned over the Thanksgiving holiday, and when that's over, our cars will be in Jersey City. If the VPC is quick, we'll have the cars in no time.

This evening getting on the Garden State Parkway, I was behind a space gray 335 coupe. I'm still dumbfounded that basically I'm getting that car.....kind of like those led ribbons, though I wish the car had full led treatement on the tails.

NYBMW335 , hey, if it works for you, I started the config. order process early July for ED, my baby was built about Oct 02, I picked up Oct 18, drove 13 days and fell in love even more, then against my will I had to drop off on Oct 30th, and since I sold my MB C230 in early June I drive a '96 Miata. Now you can imagine my anxiety. Poor Miata, will remain garaged for many months after re-delivery of my 335. ... and not exactly due to cold weather.

Good luck

I ordered my car on October 6th at the dealer but It didn't get entered into the official order system until the 11th. They insisted on waiting in case I changed my mind about anything. My car was born on Nov 7th (finished production), which just happens to be my B-Day too!

Well the reason why i am so anxious, was that i was looking for this long weekend to drive the car to my aunts house. Its about a 2 hour drive. It would of been great for the break in period. Instead i have to drive my 95 Mustang Cobra ( twin turbo ) with absolutly no traction. Everyone that thinks a 650rwhp car is amazing, try driving it in 32F with no rear tires.

Yep...think the ship should be here on Sunday....I'm still questioning the VPC though, that will be the holdup I think. But I still think our cars will be in our hands soon!

I would question the VPC as well...mine car has been sitting there for a week now with no progress...figure 2+ weeks after your ship hits to get to your dealer (sorry to burst your bubble..just letting you know my experience so far)

The interesting part about the VPC is that one ship they have them out in 48 hrs, and then the other ship they hold back for 2 + weeks. I know a couple of people who purchase their vehicle at the same dealer as i did, and they got their cars in ( 2 - 4 days ). So i am hopeing that they will do the same to mine.

Hope that's the case! I'm not sure if they could know that seeing as the ship doesn't get here until Sunday. I feel that my CA was telling me the real deal, she said we could have it as soon as the end of the week (11/30), which is what your dealership told you, BUT, "our cars have been held lately at the processing center."

This wait is kind of like waiting until Sunday to set your fantasy football lineup--don't know until the 11th hour! That would be pretty amazing if our cars were in our hands end of next week....again, anything earlier than a 12/9 deliver beats my expectations, anything over doesn't.....I'm turning to Caesar's for the over/under!

That's my expectation as well. Also, I live fairly close to you and the VPC isn't that far away from us.

John, My impression is that she's cautiously managing your expectations. Smart.

I'll call my SA on Monday and see what he has to say. This is the 6th car we have bought from him. With past cars he's told us that he has "friends" at the VPC and could pull some strings if need be. We'll see.

See how much he'll charge to pull some strings for me too!

I did get an email from my dealer saying that they hope to deliver the car at the end of the month or the first week of December! That would be great.

Hey Para, first week of December sounds very doable...me, I'm waiting for a Sat. to take delivery, so I get the feeling 12/2 is too soon. I'm sure it will be extremely tempting to pickup in the week if the dealer says it's ready....but I'll wait until the 9th...if it's later than that, I'll honestly be disappointed.
