Shiv, when autotune will be available, will you have the option of going less than max boost? Say autotune will give you, depending on your mods, 15 psi. Can user choose (user adjustable) to run something lower?

Obviously the readiness tests will not complete so emissions testing will require the reinstall of of DP's or sims. However, some have suggested that without readiness tests completing, the vehicle runs reduced timing; I haven't found this to be the case but wanted your input.

Good work Shiv

I like how his updates always seem to come out the day after our weekly local test and tune night.

Thanks for rubbing it in....it's not the size of the turbos it's how you use them...

For quick reference, and to make parallels with previous mapping methodology, User Torque setting of 20% roughly equals the old "Stg 1" maps. 40% equals old "Stg 2". 60% equals old "Stg 3". 80% is old "Stg 4. And 100% is new Stg 5. Of course, these are just good starting points. There is no reason you can't adjust the User Torque value around if you see fit. Just remember that running too high of a UT setting for your given mods/octane will result in inconsistent performance. So datalogging is your friend if you want to maximum power.
Understood.
My question is if you currently running Stage 2, you'll have to set "User Torque" to 40%. But if ran it at 30%, will it be consider a 1 1/2, 50% a 2 1/2 Stage Map, and so forth?

Hope you can elaborate more of how this feature will work.

How low did you go on the O2 sensor value? You likely have to go as low as 25, 20, and might even be 15.

From now on, you can set your o2 mod at 100%. Or better yet, physically remove the o2 mod wires. I'll show how to do this in the email. And nope, you will not see any timing reduction from not achieving catalyst readiness

over 100 email requests in the last 12hrs. Crazy.

Can removing the wires be avoided? Reaching into the stupid ECU box is a huge hassle, hehe.

Also, for emissions wouldn't we want to leave the o2 mod wires in? I remember you saying that this feature would be optional (ability to turn it off and use the old method to establish 'readiness' so that the car will still pass emissions).

It's optional. But it is benificial. The major goal in this update is to stop modifying o2 sensor data for more stable long term performance. Even with the o2 sim set at 100%, the signal is still being altered to a small degree as it goes from analog to digital and back to analog again.

Not to mention that the unused analog input/output (that you will be freeing up) will be used for something far more useful

My suggestion is to take the 10 min to do it. It's incredibly easy.
