Emden is running late... KLine expects it into Charleston on Dec 18th and Baltimore Dec 20th.. Looks like our cars won't make it by Christmas. Not to mention it looks like the ship is going to take a break in the Azores. WTF? Why not take a stop in the Bahamas why you guys are at it.

I think they may have expected some bad weather, so head to Charleston first to avoid it? Just my guess. It still blows.

Other than talking to dealership or using 1-800 number, no. Not sure we can really "track" it on anything but the boat.

Was thinking the same thing about Emden. Where's it going? For a while Emden was about 270 miles ahead of my ship, Liberty. When we reached near Sta Maria, Emden kept on going south, I'm headed due West it appears now.

I guess the ships don't follow the "great circle" routes that airplanes do for long ocean trips. I remember my cruise to Bermuda was the same way. We sailed nearly south until Wilmington NC, then due East to Bermuda. Probably why Emden is still going south. You should see it make a turn to the West any day now.

I can't get any information.

Hi,

I have a gut feel that I am on the “Emden” with you guys but am not sure, when I call either the 1-800 number or my dealer he is unable to confirm or deny whether I am on the “Emden” or not, my VIN is “WBAWC33597PD06416”, I see from the thread that you guys found out the name of your boat from your dealer, my dealer swears to me that there is no way he can find out the name of the vessel carrying my auto, let me know if you guys have and suggestions…..; needless to say I checked the “Wallenius Wilhelmsen” site everyday since my car left the factory on the 1st of this month.

I hope I am on the boat with you guys. Take Care.

If you car left the factory on the 1st it seems unlikely that you would be on this boat, my car took a day or two to get from the factory to the port, and then waited at the port over a week to get on a boat, and this boat left on the second or third of december, so it would be unlikely that you would be on it, and if you were it should be showing in your dealers computer by now, but maybe you have really good luck and you're on this boat, its just the computers screwing up!!! what is the 1800 # saying?

the 1800 number has been saying in-transit from the 3rd, and oc has been in a status of en route from the 5th.

if my dealer happens to be a numb-skull, can't any BMW dealer use my VIN in their system to see if my car is on a boat and if so, which one. I dont even mind paying another dealer 50 or 100 to give me the info; it just seems such a shame.........

I'll do some research to see if my dealer could help you. The guy I'm buying my car from is kind of a friend of mine.

I asked my buddy. He said all dealers have this info. Some don't like to give it out because it then generates a lot of phone calls and questions (which they would prefer not to answer). He couldn't access your info though (at least this is what he says), sorry.

No problem, thanks for trying buddy. That 335i you have on order looks mean, i see you are from the mid-west, i live here in Dayton, Ohio and work at Wright Patt Air Base, i would love a 335i but really want this to be my winter car, i drive a 2005 Victory Red Corvette the rest of the year, i am replacing my Mazda 6 which is a front wheel drive car for this x-drive 328xi Coupe. Take Care, hope you enjoy your car.

I'm replacing an Accord with the 335i coupe... got a Minivan though. The rear wheel drive shouldn't be a big deal as i drove a 1986 Fiero Gt with a 4 speed manual all year round from 16yo to 23yo. Lots of snow that car went through, and remarkably well without snow tires. The 335i with snow tires should be a picnic. I would've gotten the 335xi coupe, but patience is not one of my strong points. Good luck.
