Yep, stay tuned.

Hi All,

I know you've been waiting on this a long time and trust me it wasn't easy but here it finally is!! no trickery, fully functional without any flaws!

Thumperx will be the first person world wide to install a fully functional DCT shifter retrofit kit. He'll receive the kit shortly for installation, pics and evaluation.

So When you say fully fuctioning do you mean to say that the park button on the shift lever will work or just everything else??

well only the parts that are actually able to work which is the lights but not the park button. steptronic does not have that functionality and therefore can't be retrofitted. the limitation here is the way the steptronic is setup and not the shifter

FYI, Nacho is not a friend, but he's doing this on his accord. To clarify this project, Schulrog (who produces his own products) has produced his version of steptronic lever that works on the E9x.

after the retrofit how it the shifter operated?

does it still move in P->R->N->D or isit like the real 2011 3-series where selecting D is just pulling back and release to neutral postion

Here's the update: http://www.motivemods.com/BMW-SMG-Sh.../bmw-sh-r2.htm

it still moves P->R etc etc. that's how the steptronic transmission works and can't be altered.

Yep, it's installed and fully functioning. It performs without any issues or throwing any codes, and it looks great too. Working with Rodger was the best way to integrate the 6 series steptronic shifter to work with the E9X steptonic models. There was NO way Delmarco's shifter system was going to work in the manner he sold it to me. Also, the wiring harness is far compact and simpler than Nacho's system.

I plan to start a new thread, add a hyperlink, and post process pics.

Sorry for resurrecting this, but I I'm looking to do this for my E90. The RealOEM diagram is still as unclear as yours - which of the part numbers refers to the shift knob?

Thanks
