Me after a long time waiting ... nothing ... Do you have done something special (on phone and/or on bmw) to transfer the contact? |

No i-drive but has a "black edition" Desire for a couple of months now - utterly brilliant phone - even the camera is fairly good.
Only downsides are poor speaker (for loudspeaker phone calls) and my tendency to call people by mistake! |

Nothing special - I did have a firmware update on the Idrive though - I wonder if it's related to that?

So I really don't understand ...
If you say that you can sync your google contacts on your HTC Desire with your BMW by bluetooth without specific manipulation ... How can I do? |

On my N1 i have my google contacts. When i pair my N1 with BMW bluetooth it automatically copied over all my contacts. I didn't have to do anything. Have you paired your phone? Turn on bluetooth on your phone then go to the bluetooth menu on idrive and follow the instructions to pair. |

If anyone's interested I ordered this recently : http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/car-charg...gle%2Bproducts First item i received had a Mini USB plug and therefore didn't fit my Nexus One, or my Blackberry 8900 or phones like the HTC desire. They sent the wrong product as on their web site it says Mico USB. So i returned it for a replacement, again, they sent the wrong product. I think they have a supply/packing issue as the packaging says Micro USB but the actual product has a Mini USB plug head and no adapter. So i've just ordered the one from play. It looks like the same type of holder as the Mobile Fun one. It also looks like the same holder they sell at Halfords which has a better description and says it includes Micro USB adapters. In fact it looks the same as the £15 holder from Mobile fun here : http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/universal...gle%2Bproducts When i get it i'll let you know as this should hold and charge pretty much any phone. |

Just received the play.com one - http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4.../Product.html#
Works fine Loads of adapters included, one for a nexus one which is micro USB. Only thing is, if, like my nexus one the charger goes in the bottom and the stereo out goes in the top, the fitting becomes very tight and limited. Although with both leads connected i can still angle it perfectly but the top leads sits right next to the heated seat button and the bottom sits mm's from the gear selector LED light. Charges fine, but time will tell if it can charge fast enough to keep up with the power drain of google maps 3D sat navigation. |
