I don't need to imagine, most all of my friends have been telling me all about what they think of me getting a BMW. And it's not always positive. It doesn't bother me so much anymore, though...not since I added them to the list of people who won't survive my ascent to power

and of course I wouldn't have it any other way, either

As for BMW's I am not a fan of personal plates. Maybe on a M3, but not on a reg E90. I did see a cool one on a 7 series. QRTER 2 8.

My personal pet peeve is people that get a plate that says what their car is. Like I can't tell. Really. I'm that stupid that I can't see that you have a bmw or a benz or a porsche that you have to show me again on your plate. Sigh.

Make it interesting or personal, that's fine. Echo the make and model of your car, and puhleeze get out of my way. I may just go postal.

when buying custom plates, do you return your 'assigned plates'?

i mean, you can't use them any more anyway, right... because your custom plates are specifically registered to the car you submitted the info for when buying the customs... in fact, you can't order custom plates and not put them on your car, correct?

In Calif you have to return the previous plates before they'll give you the new custom ones.

Go to some places in Florida, Hawaii, NYC other expensive places and find condos in the millions. The people can afford them.

He's from Florida too, about 45 minutes south of me. I live in Sarasota.

I know detroit isn't like this, but the concept of "people live in condos because they can't afford houses" doesn't apply in most cities.

Yup, condo doesn't mean they don't have money, just means they like to be in the city and doesn't want to deal with fixing up the yard, taking out the trash, and other crap you gotta do in a house.

I was never a fan of them, but my wife suggested getting 'A PUG' on a pet lovers specialty plate for NY. We got it and it looks OK. I think it's harmless. I suggested PUG U or PUG OFF, but that might get you a key special.
