Nice interior. Was it difficult installing the cup holders?

Thanks! That part just pops right out - very easy. I have an interior trim tool kit (plastic) which helps quite a bit as well.

Not at all - the cup holders can be removed and replaced in a matter of minutes - probably 10 minutes if you're real careful and if you take your time.

I find that a lot of people prefer the dark wood. I like the light wood better because the grain shows up a lot more - I like the contrast...

I was always curious about how the light wood looks with saddle and it looks very nice.

I'd be a bit careful with the alcantara though. It looks nice new but quickly looks grungy as it wears. Be especially careful around the cup holders where you may get spills and the nice steering wheel where sweat can quicly stain the trim.

These are the first pics that aren't from BMW. I really want these but don't want to take the plunge until I have seen more pics of them.

Bravo on the alcantara! Looks great, just be sure to get the OEM BMW performance alcantara boots to match! Sills are super sexy, although at a tough $$$.

Where did you find the DIY on replacing the cup holders? Elaboration on the cupholder trim removal?

Also, where did you purchase the alcantara for wrapping?(quantity/price)

Thanks

Hey Fraggy - the illuminated sills are OEM BMW. The dealer installed them for me so I'm not really sure where they tapped into the power. That said, I remember seeing a DIY somewhere on these so if you search you may be able to find it. I don't think they're too hard to install.

I purchased the alcantara from a place called Gulf Fabrics in FL - http://www.gulffabrics.com/

You don't need a DIY for the cupholders - they're very simple to remove. Just carefully pry out the trim piece (it's just held in place by pins) with a plastic trim removal tool and you'll see that each cup holder module is mounted with just 2 screws each. Remove the screws and they come right out. Reverse the procedure to reinstall - 10 minutes if you take your time.
