I bought new ballasts for them from Jlevi, wired them up and the other one went out on my 2nd test. You don't wanna screw with these, they don't last nearly as long. If you do the LCI ones they're also covered under your cars warranty since they're OEM so if anything ever breaks they'll get fixed. Install is super easy, just a quick swap. You can find a set for like $700 on here used or I think they aren't too much more from Tischer. PM Evan@tischer or Jason@tischer and they'll hook you up.

Plus they look the best out of anything I've seen (I know you can see more yellow in these but its because either the flash was used or I had the ambers on because I didn't have the Angel Eye DRL harness yet)

What kind of wheels do you have on your Jet Black e90? They look pretty sweet. Havea any side shots?

UDUB Badger,

I need help here as I'm ready to buy some LCI Halogens, but I'm still unsure of one thing. We know that LCI halogens fit on a PreLCI halogen car, but I still don't know if it's a direct plug and play on a pre-LCI that currently has xenon?

So my car is a 2008 sedan with AHL xenon with the orange markers. With that set up, will there be any issues with plugging in "Halogen" LCIs like the ones that you have? Also, curious what those red things are under your hood.

If you already have xenon then a halogen headlight will not be plug and play, I'm 99% sure that the ballasts won't work.

Thanks Craven. This is driving me bonkers. So I guess, if I want to go the "easy" route and pay more, I would have to go with the LCI Xenons. I'm assuming those are plug and plug. Wait a sec, if I recall from the thousands of posts, the LCI Xenons have the LED signal, which would require some extra wiring, but not too difficult. I guess between myself and my electrical engineer friend, we can figure out a way to make sure we don't botch it.

My other option is to wait til this lease is up next year and get a new 335i and stop messing around with lci conversion stuff. But you know, I actually prefer the blackline taillights on my '08 sedan much better than the '09+ taillights.
