I've seen a sample plate, and it looks rusty red / brown to me - definitely not burgundy and very different from Sienna Red.
Without doubt it is 'different' and a brave choice, if not for me. I saw a 7 series in a not dissimilar colour and it looked horrible. Of all the new colours, I think deep green will look the best as long as it's not almost black (like Monaco Blue). Green's not a popular BMW colour, but I had an E46 Touring in Fern Green once and really liked it. I do wish that BMW would get braver with colours. I've ordered Arctic, which I'm not 100% about, but am fed up with the same old boring colours (and I wanted a light colour). |

Frankly, I'm not very impressed with BMW's choice of colors for the e90. Other than the solid colors (red, black, white) and the silver / gray colors (TiAg and SG), the rest of the colors are just plain odd. I did see a 330i Sport in Electric Red while up north last weekend - It looked pretty sharp. It had "speeding ticket" written all over it.......

This is the only other color I would have gotten had I not chosen TiAg. I just didn't want to wait for the color to become available. Awesome color.

Hmmm........in those photos/lighting conditions it looks a little different. Looks like maybe a cloudy day as opposed to sunlight, like the first photos in this string.
It's growing on me, but I'm still going to have to see it in person before ordering......

I hope that it looks alot better when it is clean, and when the sun is out. The funny thing is, I'm a huge red fan and I wish BMW would once again come out with a really nice dark red color. In 1999 when we ordered our 323i, we were on the fence about getting Sienna Red, which has similar qualities to what Barrique has today. I had a similar reaction to the color one day when the called me to tell me that they had gotten one in and that I could look at it. It was a cloudy day (again), had just rained, and the car looked horrible. After seeing that, I just couldn't grow to like the color no matter how nice it looked clean, because I knew that I'd hate it the rest of the year when the car wasn't clean and it wasn't sunny out.

MY 330 XI is Barrique with a grey leather interior. It looks fantastic in the sunlight and has a kind of floresent quality at night. It will need to be kept very clean all the time because road dust does seem to have an undue effect. Small price to pay for the sheer pleasure of driving down the autobahn.

Local dealer had this Barrique 330i on the lot today. Lighting was bright filtered sun after a rain.
I odered a Barrique 330i based on the color sample provided by the dealer. This was the first time I've seen the color on the car. My very first thought when seeing it was that it is not as dark as I expected. Although I would like it darker, after staring at it for quite a while I am glad I took the chance on this color. More on the photos: The two shots from each side of rear quarter make the color look slightly darker than it really is. The photos have not been edited and I did not apply any special exposure settings on the camera. The best photo for accurate color comparison is the one with the Sparkling Graphite and Ti Silver car alongside.

Very nice pictures! One question - when you make a basket, who has to go up the stairs to get the ball?

Looks really great, Dutchy. Barrique/Beige/Titanium - you're not likely to mistake someone else's e90 for your own at the mall parking lot.
I'm really starting to like Barrique - its uncommoness is a definite draw. I don't know if I could convince the wife to go for a "red" car, though. She really likes Arctic.

But the bottom line is that I think it's great that BMW lets you combine any exterior/interior combo! Most manufacturers only offer their "canned" packages.
