If your policy documentation doesn't explicitly exclude track/'Ring use would you say you're covered?

Most policies have exclusion for racing, etc and whilst I know that you are not 'racing' as such, I reckon you would struggle to convince the insurance company that you were on your 14th lap of Oulton Park because you were lost whilst looking for Chester Zoo, lol!!

That's a bit risky for your usual standards dxb? You say you wouldn't risk a track day without insurance, but then you don't actually check positively that your own insurance is valid for the ring??

You're hoping that because they don't mention it then you're covered?

I'd be asking them to confirm you are covered first rather than assume cover by default.

Like I said esure sent me a letter stating that although not previously excluded they were re-affirming that that the ring was not covered and from now on it was specifically excluded.

I'd ask to be sure.

Er DB, I went through my whole policy. No way they could exclude it.

You can do half a lap, as a tourist and pull off at the Half-ring. On a holiday trip in Germany. Nothing wrong with that for example. Unless specifically excluded.

If you ask, and mention your goign directly there, then yes some digging will be done on their part and they would probably go ''Uh No''.
