looks like that ETS FMIC is doing it's job! Cooler temps you will break 11's on street tires! I still have no goddamn idea how u can get such sick times on street tires though
If you don't mind me asking, what are your shift points?

That data is worthless though if you really want to test the intercooler. You are only testing the methanol cooling power if you run the W/M kit. The other testing I saw was about 50F above ambient which is not so good. I would love to see more independent data though. Run a log without meth to see what your IATs look like.

If you look at the graphs of the Helix log vs your runs, you winded out the gears a hell of a lot longer on more boost 15.5 vs a touch under 14. The Helix log is basically just a 2-3 gear pull with 1 second in 4th. Not exactly scientific. If you want to be scientific, look at where the IAT is from 2-3 in your log. Either way, I run meth so it's gonna be a hell of a lot better than the stocker thats for sure.

I couldn't resist the ETS group buy. I've been logging pulls on the new JB3 15ohm set up I'm testing on a stock FMIC in 90 degree weather (AZ). I'm installing the ETS this week and plan to do some logs with the ETS as a comparison. I'll post here and on my own thread once I Have the data compiled.

just giving my 2cents.
Ive done numerous pulls running 16.5psi 2-3-4 to redline, and the IAT's havent impressed me that much. Running METH is def. the way to go to keep these numbers down though. Quote:

No time, getting ready to go out of town but when crusing it held temps 5-10F above outside temps. Before it would be 20-30.

Too early to tell. I'm still dialing it in and the temps suck here right now.

Shouldn't have a problem. We use stainless steel piping and t-bolt clamps. You can tighten the clamps down with an impact gun if needed and it won't hurt the piping.
The pipes also have bead rolled ends. Michael |
