Pretty sure the stuff I used was spelled that way. Was over 25 years ago.

Last time I used it, earlier this year, it had a bland descriptive name.

Googling myself, I have spelled it wrong - should be Copaslip.

I used to apply a little around the hub centre, keeps the hubs from rusting from water ingress and they can free easily.

No, ONLY put it on the raised centre lip.

That's the only place the wheel gets stuck on.

Don't ever grease mating faces or the bolts (we don't have studs )

The wheel needs friction on the hub to be secure else all the drive torque is applied to the wheel bolts.
