Have a go first and if no luck with the coding then you'll have to buy the FRM3 to replace your FRM2, I'm a bit worried now as well but we'll see what errors are thrown when I recieve my harness from EAS

Gents,

As an FYI: I've been quoted $3100 full installed and spec'd from my dealer for the E92 Tail lights.

Which is a little steep considering how much we can get the parts alone from the UK.

Holy hell!

For memory, the lights and harnesses worked out to be $880 shipped from the UK, making this one over indulgence mod. $3,100 is plain heinous.

I've also ordered the newly released BMW Performace rear diffuser for $274, and I don't know what it costs here, but I'm guessing about $600-700 which is enough to make you vomit

Ya tell me about it! Although from recollection you're not getting the FWM3 though are you?

Which adds about 400ish dollars to the cost. Still outrageous. I might considering getting them to do the install.

Not at this stage as it was an extra $360 for the FWM3. I'll see if Doc (aka mark) can code my old module, otherwise I'll have to replace it and may just go through the stealership to save time. Pretty expensive mod really, still nothing on $3.1k.

EAS are now reporting that they can't always seem to code earlier models, but yours is an '10 so should be fine.

It's been across the board - plugging into an autologic will determine what your specific coding index actually is, before requiring to purchase a FRM3.

Tom while I have yet to use an AutoLogic I would understand if there were some limitations compared to NCSExpert, I prefer using BMW tools to do the coding.

Bmminiparts have the euro lights on their site for anyone wanting to search them. The photos are of mine!

Looks like we might only require 1 harness kit, so I may have a spare. Just waiting on a couple other parts before it ships.

The autologic has suited all our needs for programming.

Here are my actual amber LCI tails, sitting in the UK waiting to be shipped.

Go to bmminiparts.com and use the search.

7252779
7252880
7251957
7251958
2181307 - cable

Looks like the cable # is for the kit of 2x cables, so I will have one kit spare for those looking to do this once I have it figured out.

Looks like the one part # (2181307) contains cables for both left and right.

15gbp, not bad - then again that's what I paid for replacement wiper blades, which are $140 here

I really don't understand how they can charge $99 for something we can buy for $40!... $59 is a lot of margin!

Jarrad,
I know this is OT...........but who did you buy the Performance rear diffuser from at $274 ?
Do you have related part numbers for all the required pieces ??(Euro tail lights with amber turn signals.)

Bmminiparts.com part number 51122158322 for the diffuser. That's the part I'm still waiting on.

The lights, etc are in the first post or post 38

Even for the first version of the FRM you can remove an error from the dashboard with the proper coding.
