Floor Mats - how to install?

Mine came with the mats. The dealership was out when I got my car, so they had to ship them to me a week or so later--they were just in the bottom of the box. Usually the dealer will do this for you--is that the problem? Maybe your screws are sitting on someone's desk at your dealer.

Are these the types with the screws? I'm utterly confused.

I've got the same problem. Basically have a "curl" in the middle of the drivers mat that won't go away or flatten out... not diggin' that..

I just got floor mats for christmas, very easy to install, just line up the mats with the screws in the center if the velcro, mark the spot where the screws touch, use a small sharp awl and make a small hole 1/2" deep and the srews will go right in--tighten screws untill they are flush with carpet, replace mats and you're done, don't have to worry about things moving around. btw the rubber mats mount the same way.

1. Remove original vehicle mat (if so equipped). Locate existing retention device or color-coded plug in lower, left-hand corner of driver's floor area (directly in front or left & right seat tracks). Using any coin (or a flathead screwdriver), rotate existing device 90 degrees in a counterclockwise direction and lift to remove device from vehicle.

2. Place rubber mat retention device in the exposed hole in the vehicle carpeting, and rotate 90 degrees in a clockwise direction, while applying downward pressure. Retention device will lock firmly into place.

3. Place BMW rubber floor mat onto vehicle floor, noting retention pedestal, press mat firmly overretention device until the pedestal completely surrounds each retention post.

Holy thread resurrection. I hope that in 4 years, they figured out how to install the floor mats.
