19"...
The ride is definitely stiffer, can feel more bumps in the road... But it's also a little bouncy... do the springs have to settle first? How long is that usually? 1000km? |

![]() for being bouncy, spring settlement no need to be that long... shock absorption is also done by the damper... perhaps also your own feeling for the change... try for the next 100km or so to see ![]()

Really unlucky. I don't know what happened, but in less than 24 hours, the rear right tire blew again! When I tried to start the car this morning and just turn the corner, the entire tire just came loose from the wheel. Had to take it back to the shop to get a new tire. I don't know how a brand new tire can be punctured so quickly but it was apparent something had cut through.
Since it was definitely a puncture, the shop said that Michelin wouldn't reimburse for defect at all, and at the same time, I was pretty angry that a brand new tire could be exploded in less than 24 hours. Finally settled the replacement tire cost 60/40 with the shop... ![]() |

sounds weird... do you think there is any other reasons or just coincidence?

When they removed the tire... it looked like a pretty clean cut. I guess I must have ran over something, and it just let out all the air.
Super bad luck I guess... New image: ![]() Last edited by superdx; 06-24-2010 at 09:58 PM.. Reason: Added an image |

A one week update:
Getting pretty paranoid about flat tires now, so I'm paying more attention to bumps, rocks and stuff on the road and keeping a big distance from trucks. However on nice roads, the car is a lot more fun. Very steady and can take ramps and corners at much higher speeds than with the stock setup. It's definitely more stiff and bumpy on roads that aren't so great, but I can live with it for now. Maybe in the future I will upgrade to something that can have have adjustable dampner like the PSS10 so the ride can be more comfortable. But for now, I'm pretty happy with the setup and would recommend it for anyone that's looking for a drop and a increase in handling performance. |

wow very good looking setup, the rim is nice too. I'm looking for replica wheels also, have my eyes on CSL style replica but need to get a good shop to make it textured/matte black. M6 looks good also.
sometimes just wonder which replicas have better quality and/or lower weight. tire punctures come to me in a row too. no any punctuates for the past 6 years then suddenly 2 happens within 1 week. 1 on my previous car right before I stop driving it, 1 on my new car just a couple days after I gotten it. mine was only punctured by a screw so HK$40 repair, not a cut so i considered myself lucky. |

stevensonleehk: Probably sway bars next, and I actually may get the PSS10... I drive on Lung Cheung Rd. nearly every day and it's bumpy even on a stock suspension. Driving me a little insane.
The tires I had were Yokohama S-drive. They were not run-flats. I don't really think they were particular good tires as traction control would come on if I took a corner too fast... and definitely could not keep up with the rest of the guys here on morning drive ![]() notabug: I asked the same question when I saw the M6 wheels in the shop's catalog. Obviously they're not going to be as light as Advan wheels, but the guy indicated to me that they weren't going to be significantly heavier than the existing 335 wheels I had. Right now I don't think my car is noticeably slower or "heavier", so it's ok. They were pretty cheap too, only $1900 HKD a wheel. Advans were almost 3800 HKD a wheel, but I would have bought those if they were in stock. Every time I hear some kind of noise now... I always immediately think my tires have exploded again ![]() |

I forget how much the rims cost already... but they were cheap. They are replicas so not the real thing. Maybe $1900? I think that sounds about right. The tires were damn expensive though.
