J-walking = jay walking = illegally crossing the street not at an intersection and usually not yielding to oncoming traffic/it can also mean crossing when the pedestrian has the red light

Its very easy to sit here at the computer and say what shoulda happened. That's why I'm going to do just that. We charge cops with enforcing the law...give them training and equipment to enforce the law...and if we have a problem with the law or how the officers are enforcing it...we do that through legal means...not by arguing with...and wrestling with an officer. When you do that...you might find yourself getting punched in the nose...which is much better than shot in the face!

That being said. Sure seems like the officer had trouble controlling the situation. Then he proceeds to justify his actions to some dumbasses that are questioning his techniques while filming the event. Seems that he could use some more training...and some evaluation to see if being a street cop is right for him. Surely not all people are cut out to be cops...maybe he's one of them. He spent 9 minutes wrestling with two teenage girls...not good. If those had been two guys...he might have wound up shot or beaten up.

Had they been guys, I'm certain he would have used significantly more force to restrain them. Had he been more dominant in the beginning, he'd be in a better place. As it stands, I don't think there is any way that a peer review says he acted inappropriately. But, the "Mickey Mouse Court of Public Opinion" however is totally different.

My prediction? Exonerated in the internal investigation, but the Feds step in and use the typical "violation of civil rights" crap to try him again.
