I would like to elaborate on my statement earlier regarding cp-e. The issue was resolved and I do not blame them...it was just a simple mistake made by them that they fixed quickly when they found their was a problem.

I will say though that Huy@Speed and Technology Integrated helped me A LOT with the problems and I do appreciate it. So if you buy anything cp-e...buy it through him...very respectable vendor who will work hard for you more than the company.

As for the problem...i can assure everyone that it has been fixed and won't happen to anyone else...i was just an anomaly.

I may of said I won't do business with them again before but honestly...i was in a bad mood...i just will wait to see what else they come up with for us.

Also to Huy...Thanks again for everything!

There are a ton of great intercoolers...Helix, AA, HPF, and AMS to name a few.

I recommend you check out the AMS intercooler for your 335i:

The cast end tanks allow for better airflow versus welded sheet metal end tanks. It's also one of the best performing intercoolers on the market from a famed tuning house that specializes in high horsepower turbo applications.

Cooler air equals more power!

just got my AMS few days ago. Havent installed it yet so don't know what to expect, but its over 100 degrees here in Las Vegas every day and several times now when racing and going over 140, i had the "loss power" icon come up but the car didnt lose power. I think my car is overheating so I really can't wait to get this baby in. Just waiting for few my quad tips and diffuser to get here so I can have the shop do everything at once.

You'd be the perfect candidate for an intercooler.

A lot of owners are going to want to do this BEFORE the crazy summer temperatures are here.

go with ETS cheap and just as efficient as most others if not better... search there is a MASSIVE thread on FMIC with NICE technical information... use that before you make your final choice.

Hopefully not overheating but oil getting too hot is more likely the issue. Maybe the one with the oil cooler would be ideal for your situation. If you have the factory oil cooler already that is.

a methupgrade would also be perfect for your car in that heat...

I went with the Helix FMIC based on research and recommendations, i would highly advise on getting an Engine Oil Cooler too, but thats just me because it reaches 130F daily over here in this desert .

Methanol Injection kits are a great way to lower your charge temperatures and increase power signifcantly at the same time!

what are the price differences on all of these intercoolers? What's the best bang for the buck?

Sorry I know the info is out there... if anyone knows off hand it'd be good

Where are you getting all your work done in Las Vegas? What tune do you have?

HPF FMIC

The HPF FMIC is 87% bigger than stock, totaling 815 total cubic inches. also one of the easiest FMIC to install (in less than one hour) as they utilize the factory mounting tabs, factory c-clip couplers and don't require any silicon couplers or extra hose clamps.
further more the HPF FMICs are the only ones that utilize the sway bar mounting tabs to create a structural reinforcement that holds the intercooler tightly in place and they fit within the factory grill and do not interfere with the radiator airflow. In addition HPF intercoolers drastically drop the intake air temps without adding any additional turbo lag over your stock intercooler. Lower intake temperatures result in greater power delivery and the harder you run your car, the larger the gains you're going to see with our intercoolers.

Any more question just PM me or Email me at diego@lutzperfauto.net

I always recommend the CP-E or AMS.

I am very pleased with my CP-E intercooler, and I've yet to install the included oil cooler. The fit was perfect, and the smoother air flow is totally noticeable... I don't have a tune.

looks like my COOLANT was low cause the light came on...so maybe thats why it was overheating, but my oil on my gauge never goes beyond the middle...250 i think.

don't have a place in vegas yet to do my work. I've done everything myself so far.

I have the JB3 2.0, with latest firmware. I have all the bolt-ons, DCI, diverter valves, catless DP's etc. U name it I got it. Except of course the FMIC which I now have but have to install. Still getting the meth kit in next couple of months. I really need to find a good shop around here though.

Also getting the quaife LSD in 2-3 months.

You know any good shops in Vegas that can do this kind of work. My friend knows a couple and said they are good as they did the work on his BMW, but i havent personally been there

You should call Moe down at CARS. There number is 702-823-2277. Moe and Caesar are great. They are Master Tech with Audi, but they do a lot of work on any Euro cars. You can always find some Audi R8's down at their shop. Being from the Audi/VW world, they have ties with GIAC, but can do any mechanic work you need. Super good guys.

Tell them Winn sent you. It won't get you anything, but they know me.
