wheres the best place to tap into the red & brown wires? Do I have to take out the Radio and tap in in the back or do they run somewhere more accessable somewhere else in the car?

are you talking about where spare tires are usually set? under the mats? if so, theres not enough room in the e92 coupse to place an amp there, its about 2inches deep in some areas and it has a weird slot, a capacitor could possibly fit there, but no amp. |

Cold weather package has a that slot with the ski bag and ours dont have that opening. i too was wondering about this, but im facing my Sub out anyways, so i guess if you want more air movement, face it towards the cabin/seats. maybe jusbechillin can enlighten us. i read his post and he said he thought the 2 10's would be louder. he did build his Fiberglass enclosure to spec but who knows |

yea, i've been in a few cars with the sub facing the seats, and clarity is not there.
Jonmartin, you have a nice nice setup, KING KONG IN YOUR TRUNK! JL is top quality, i dont have that much $ to throw into my system so im just running 1 eclipse 12'' SW7200 possibly at 2ohms 900watts rms (really pushing it) or 8 ohms at 300watts rms depending on what i see fits i iguess. im not too worried about it being "super loud" its more about clarity than just rattling the entire car. my install will done mid march during spring break |

Oh, no need for Sorry, i was just a bit confused thats all, everyone on here is lighhearted so no worries buddy!
well, even with the Logic 7 only, the car rattles. if you bump your system with a rap song, go to the right rear fender wall (near the end of the side skirt) you'll hear some rattling. so imagine if you put any subwoofer setup in the trunk, it'll rattle the car. in comparison with 90% (possibly more) of the cars on the road, the logic 7 is pretty nice, but i think bimmer owners are always looking to push the envelope, and i myself, like to push as well hehe maybe once bmw has a standard 500watt system, we'll be satisfied. |

oh misunderstanding, im talking strictly watts(rms) for the subs.
stock usually have anywhere between 200-300 watts as a whole, so im not surprised with the 440 figure since the logic is pretty impressive. |

mine too and it has broken the little cover ejector so now i have to use my nails. i get a shit load of bass with my bandpass box it's amazing for a e90 as it does not have metal behind the seats. my e46 was crap for bass even with more power than i have now.
