n55 Exhaust mods

Yeah thats what I figured im gunna get them hacked off and replaced with straight pipes, will cutting them out throw any codes ?

.... No.... It shouldn't, I don't see any O2 sensors hooked up, based on your pics... If you don't physically see anything hooked up to them yourself, then don't worry about codes... Now, if you do emission testing, and the place you go hooks up a sniffer, then you may have something to worry about, but, IDK how things are handled in PA, do they just go thru your ODB port? or do they place a sniffer on your exhaust?

The emissions doesnt bother me ill be fine there i was jw about throwing any codes but theres no O2 sensors like you said so Ill be good to go

It'll def. make your exhaust sound a little louder, but I guess the main (big) bottleneck that we are going to have with the N55, much like the N54 is the main Cat on the downpipe... You 335 guys will probably have an aftermarket DP from AR or someone else in no time at all, but me with an X5, probably won't have any options when it comes to an aftermarket dp...

Just got back from removing my H-pipe and installed straight pipes on my n55 e90. Definitely gargles more you can tell the difference between 1500-2000 rpms. Higher rpms not so much.I'll try to get a video and pics of it tomorrow.

does anybody know eisemann exhaust for N54 fit on 2011 335xi coupe(N55)???

I called eisemann today and they said they haven't test fit on N55yet.

n54 and n55 use the same exhaust set up..

However the xi has cats. the 335i's don't

The Remus Race setup just came out for the 335... not sure if you want to go down that path... but... you asked...
