Ok first of all..

your e93 is a pig.

Take the passenger seat and rear seats out.

Second,invest in meth..it's worth it.

Next time you go to the track run straight race fuel + meth.

Last but not least...f*ck map 5.

Run some race maps..you wanna go fast ? you're gonna have to push that thing..

Do these things and I GUARANTEE you, you'll run low 13s or better even with the same sh!tty 60fts.

Unless ofcourse you're at like 5000ft of elevation...

ps : if it makes make you feel better,I once ran low 13s on race fuel, race maps, upgraded fmic,dv's,and intakes..

I had to sit in DC traffic for 3 hours to get there, so I was totally heat soaked. My first couple runs I ran a 14.1. I let the car sit for an hour or so, and made some more runs. The fastest I could squeak out was a 13.869 at 102.7.

Can the heat affect our cars THAT much? The temperature was 95 degrees outside and humidity was horrible. Here were the stats.

R/T .058
60' 2.193
330 5.939
1/8 9.025
MPH 80.92
1000 11.649
1/4 13.869
MPH 102.7

I would think that even if it was that hot outside, I should still be able to squeak out a time better than stock with an intake and tune!

What gives? Suggestions?
All depends on the DA. I was at California Speedway, and the 425HP SRT8 Challenger was trapping right at 99mph. 100F temps. So if you were getting 102.7mph, that might actually be pretty good for map #5 in those conditions. Secondly what kind of fuel were you running? 100 octane +, you should probably be running map #9. I trap 118.7 mph on map#9 and DCI on 100 octane, but at sea level, and 50F temps. Huge difference there. I don't even think I would race in those hot temps. Its really hard on the engine. At the very least you want to be running meth if you need to race in hot temps.

Yeah, they only had CAM2 fuel so I wasn't about to put leaded fuel in the tank. running through the box I'd spin my tires because it was a long box and then I'd spin them again for about ten feet to wipe them off and try and get the water out of the tread. I know the weather had a huge factor - I was running the same times as late 90's camaro SS. They delayed the 10.5 class qualifying till about 7:30 because none of them could get the heat out of the engine.

I'm hoping I should be closer to the 13.5 mark with good cool weather, map 7 and 103 unleaded that they sell at MIR.

sorry to hear man...i ran a 13.1 on map 7 and dci on 106octane before i had all my boltons on....then when i got everything on i did 12.8(which would have been faster if i had some 106oct(was using 100)....now with upgraded turbos and meth im hoping to be the first e93 into the 11s or at least rediculously close to it...

What was the DA?That makes a huge difference,I trap around 123 in my e55 and couldnt get over 117 the other day in 2300ft DA my best was a 12.2 at 117 and Iwas expecting to run a 11.4 ect...go back when its 70 out and I bet you trap like 4 mph higher

90 out with high humitidy and low baro is hard to get a decent time.

Correct me if im wrong but map 5 is pushing it ..to run this map efficentlly you should have dps and intercooler especiallly in that weather...sometimes pushing the map has opposite effect it pulls timing and slows the car you might try dropping the map and have better results........cheers...and at least you got to the track all us slaving away at work..lol.

I ran really bad a capitol last Friday night in pobably the same weather. If you get to capitol early enough the right lane does not have a water box.

$25,600!!! jk.

these guys know what they're talkin about. a few more bolt-ons (dps, fmic), meth, and some better weather, you'll be in the low 13's easily.

good luck!
