gaifaun - I always enjoy reading your write ups. Concise and detail oriented and pictures mean a thousand words!
I am still waiting for the GP 8500k for my AE and cornering light from e92lighting. I ordered last Monday and hopefully I can post some pics of my AE soon! I will give you a shout if I see your car in Richmond =) |

GP Thunder 8500K H3 and H8
Here is the result of GP Thunder 8500K on my e93
GP Thunder 8500K H3 (Cornering) and H8 (Angel Eye): not sure where to see if it is V1, V2, or V3 OEM: AE (Ignition On): AE (Ignition On): AE, Cornering, HID all on Note: As gaifaun stated, the passenger side's AE is pretty hard to install. Driver side took me less than 10 minute and passenger side took me around 30 mins. Make sure you remember the angle when you take out the OEM bulb and put new bulb into the same angle. Cheers! Thanks e92lighting.com! Last edited by boyhsu; 09-02-2011 at 02:28 AM.. |

Hi,
I know this is a 2-year old post, but I have a question - was the access to the light assembly under the hood, or was it the front wheel wells? I also have an 09 LCI. Thanks! |

Dammit. I have the warranty sticker on there. Wonder if there are serious implications... |

Gladly.
Yeah, I noticed that too--in German IIRC. I removed it; no idea about the implications. Leads me to believe that if serviced by BMW, they may replace the sticker as any cap twisting will rip the sticker. |

I know this thread is old but I just installed the GP Thunder Angel Eyes on my LCI E90. So when the Xenon is off, the bulb is white. When the Xenon is on, the bulb is yellow.
Do I need to code the car to increase the voltage for Angel Eyes? |

Anyone know why this is an issue for some E90 LCI's but not others and what the fix is?

I deleted the auto dim of angel eyes when Xenon is on. Also increased the voltage of the angel eyes to make sure they stay whiter. Anyway I still find the 7500K still a little on the yellow side.

For $15 shipped I don't think it's worth the hassle of getting it coded so I think I'll just live with it as-is. The initial review in this thread didn't seem to have that issue. Still a big improvement over the stock bulbs.

I have all the coding tools so I played around with it to get it working. But I agree from the initial post it didn't seem like you need to code.
