It appears as though having lambo doors on the E90 makes it much more difficult to get in and out of the car but I've never seen one in person.
To each their own. This mod, however, is not for me...

It seems like the doors would need less space to open.
I don't know that the "look" is all that relevant...it's not like you drive around with the doors open.

Don't listen to all these naysayers - I've seen worse mods for sure. If you like them then absolutely do it. My only advice would be just be sure the kit you buy is high quality and you put it together very carefully to make sure that everything lines up well when you're done and it's nice a solid. Also, be sure you think about where you're going to be parking the car such as a garage - make sure you'll always have the clearance you'll need to open them. Good luck and post pics when you're done!

OP--- we aren't telling you not to do it because BMW's must live up to some standard...we are telling you not to do it because it looks like fucking shit and it is tacky.
but then again...i see you got that CF trunk so i guess you are going for the tacky look! |

It's your car you paid for it, if you like it then that's all it matters. Personally I wouldn't do it because it's hard to get around places.

yes by all means do something that was a bad idea in the late 90s early 2000's now in 2010 it is still a bad idea, I need a good laugh so please post pics from all angles and make it super 1990's all over for me.

I love this for some reason.
OP - The great thing about modding is that it gives you the chance to be unique and try to stand apart from the pack, BUT what you are contemplating here was done to death by a lot of cheaper cars in the 90's and early 2000's. If you really love the style go for it, but you will most likely draw alot of unfavorable attention when you open those things up. |

Lambo doors look like shit on a civic only because you are driving a civic. 3 series would look insane. Post the pics when you get it done

It would still look shit on a 3 series or even a M3 for that matter. What makes the 3 series so special that it will look nice with lambo doors? It "might" look better than a Civic simply because you are bias or just the thought that the 3 series is around twice as expensive, or its a BMW not a Honda. Heck it would even look ugly on a Porsche.
