Nice to see Alonso on top. Great result for Button as well.

Looks like all the missed opportunities for Vettel are going to haunt him this weekend.

Interesting results from qualifying. Hamilton will have his work cut out for him with a slippery car.

If button with his improved braking could overtake Alonso, that would be a fantastic result.

We know button is not an aggressive driver in terms of overtaking. However, from what we've seen from last year. He can do it when he needs to.
For example, brazil last year.

Fantastic getaway from Button and defending in the first stint, then a better pit stop from Ferrari to take the championship!

I'd be curious why there wasn't any penalty for nico hulkenburg?
First he cut the chicane to defend mark webber and them go across him on a very slow corner exit.

The last one was blatantly obvious it was done to preserve his position. A bad call indeed. Even though I'm no fan of MW, glad he finally overtook the cheat .

Hey, and what was that SV dubious 'soft engine' all about? Somebody suggested a more believable 'team order', but I REALLY doubt SV would have been so gracious. Glad he ended up ahead of MW. Now the championship is getting interesting. Hope MW DNFs so it can be just a handful of points from all top 5 contenders. The last 3 on the top 5 are seaprated by only 3 points or so .

Speed repeated some highlights from Singapore, and how Picket Jr crashed his car on purpose when given the order to let Alonso by. Never saw that race. What a gutsy guy . That's what Masa should have done in Germany . Hey, and what happened to Picket? Was he fired or what? Curious about that one.

Piquet Jr has basically been blacklisted as an F1 driver. Not that he was that great to begin with but I doubt he ever gets another shot.

Supposedly SV had a sticky break pedal that magically fixed inself.

53 laps and it all came down to a few seconds in the pits.

I am disappoint.

Such a minor thing caused Hamilton to DNF. He needs to keep his head clear after that one.

Make it tenths of a second . Half a second was all Button needed to clear Alonso. What a shame that the cry baby won, but yes, the race was won and lost in pit lane indeed.

And man, can't believe SV would have made the entire race on the soft tires; unbelievable. And he also got one of the quickest pit stops ever. Looking forward to the last 5 races.

I have a strong belief that McLaren's pit team needs to step up their game. They consistently get beat by Red Bull and Ferrari.

If they could improve by 0.2s I think they would be in good shape.

very disappointed as well. Lewis had a fantastic start but got careless and got caught in a spot where he should not have been, he should have known Massa had no where else to go. Think thats 3 DNFs for LH, two of them he would have prob finished in the top 3-4, lots of missed points, he's gonna need a strong showing in the next race

as much as i dont like Alonso, ill give him credit, he kept up w/ Button and the pit crew did an amazing job, while McLaren did a so-so job

crazy to hear a lot of teams are on their 8th engine, much worse shape than I previously thought

Quite hilarious indeed. As i was watching I kept thinking what a blunder it would be if they FORGOT to change the tires! I wouldn't at all be surprised if out of nowhere a new rule arises that states you must run a minimum number of laps of each set of tires. Incredible that the soft tires lasted the entire race!

Not to be overly cynical, but who is keeping track of the number of engines? Please don't tell me it's the honor system! Clearly if one blows during a race everyone knows, but what's to stop a team from changing an engine inbetween races and just not saying anything?

Are the engines somehow marked?

Yea that engine issue was a real hoot! They even said that he had complained about it during practice and qualifying.
