Thats probably a good thing - its a PITA on a pre-LCI!

Sunroof booms when fully open over 40mph.
They all do this - I suspect that's why they invented the "partial 70% open" first position when operating it - it doesn't boom then. I have found however that if you crack open the rear windows 1", then the booming stops even when fully open.

Nice car. As someone else asked - has the 3D Prof Nav been around since LCI launch (in Sep 08), or did it come in a more recent update - e.g. Sep 09, Sep 10 etc.

PS Leccy towbar is a neat bit of design isn't it.

The nav says 101092.0.12 European Maps Premium 2010, whatever that means. Dropping the scale from above 1 mile to 900 yds and below changes the detail of the 3D view

That's exactly what I was going to say but was beaten to it. Just lower a rear window slightly to let the air escape and stop the 'sonic boom'.

Gorgeous looking car and nice spec also .

Looks good.

The panoramic sunroof is indeed a lovely option - essential on an E91 IMO. Unless you're really tall!

Not had a sunroof in a car for over 15 years. With the commonplace of aircon I think sunroofs have been lost to the halls of cars past. Having had the 30 year old 924 this year with its tilt and fully removable sunroof, which I have done as often as possible, I decided to give one a go in the BMW. How right was I to swap leather for the panny! I love the size, the double tilt function, the 70/30 opening and the full length blind. Its amazing how much cooler the car is leaving the roof tilted up on the sunny days, although that may also be a benefit of the heat insulating windscreen? Anyway the roof is a good choice you won't regret.

Also impressed with the business sound option. Sure its not audiophile quality but way better than the stock system. It was a last minute decision and also glad that went in.

Auto wipers seem very erratic at the moment, can't decide which speed. Auto headlights seem over sensitive. Air con is way colder, used to be on 18.5 most of the time, this week its been on 21 and still cold!

OOps !!

New bumper and headlight needed after a VW popped out in front of me from a side street this morning. Only two weeks in and and a visit to a body shop is needed.

Should I demand a new car out of this. I'll never be able to trust it again!!

That's a real shame. Hope the VW was insured.

As for the steering, unless you specified it, your car won't have servotronic steering anymore - just plain electric assistance - which is why the steering feels not so nice.
