Tire Rack rep told me that only 1 out 6 current RFT owners switch to standard tires.

PS/2 RFTs have very compliant ride characteristics without sacrificing handling. Thats why they are so popular AND expensive.

If you have the money get 'em.

I believe that.
I wonder how much of it has to do with actually liking them and how much is about having nowhere to put a spare and of not trusting spare in a can?

BTW The manager at NTB said that they won't/can't mount the very low profiles that the Sports Suspension runs.

Try Town Fair in Milford if you private message me I can give you more details. I was nervous about them doing it to be honest but they did right by me. I told them up front I would not tolerate a single scratch on a wheel. They got it and had a good tech who delivered on the promise. Some nail biting though.

My brother replaced the Bridgestones on his 650i with the PS/2s through a local Michelin tire dealer. They ended up re-finishing all 4 wheels for free of course. But what a pain!

We have a Town Fair Tire nearby on Rte. 1 in Saugus. I wasn't too impressed on my one visit years ago but will give them a second chance when the time comes.
Thanks

Garage List
Keep in mind that test did not use the RE 050, a better tire than the RE 760 used in the test. I litterally drive around with DTC on now most of the time(push button for a second), because when I go to get on it hard with the V12s...traction control kicks in and ruins my fun. You get what you pay for. There is no way a $750 set of tires is going to perform as well as a set of top end $1400 tires.

Not saying your making things up...I just experienced a drastically different situation. Odd that we'd have such different experience with the same tires.

i always found that the runflats are so hard that the like to skid (especially in the front) when cornering hard resulting in understeer..but hey to each his own right? only you know what you like!
